2019/04/08I finished with one client in the morning, and I had time for lunch at Hakata ShoRyuKen before heading to the airport. It is a cozy restaurant with seating for about 30. The dining room was mostly empty when I arrived at noon. On my way into the restaurant I noticed their Lunch Combo (on a board on the sidewalk), which was also featured on the first page in their menu. It was a bowl of Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen with a side dish for $13.99. I ordered that with the straight noodles (server recommended) and the Karage Don side. The bowl of ramen was full of good stuff. The broth had lots of flavour, the noodles were cooked right, the sliced black mushrooms were nice and slippery, and the pork belly was tender. The Karage Don was four pieces of dark meat chicken, deep fried with a light crispy batter, with a light dressing, served atop some sticky rice. The was a large lunch. I left satisfied and stuffed.
