This is my new favourite Korean restaurant (although keep in mind that it is a fusion restaurant). It has a fun bar vibe, but the service was good and the food was surprisingly very good. Exceeded my expectations. The sign can be hard to spot and be sure to check out their daily specials, because you can get some really good deals. I also really like their drinks selection, including fruit flavoured soju. I thought the deep fried prawns were cooked perfectly, the tacos had great flavour and variety of textures, and I liked the fries (I’m usually very picky about fries), however I didn’t think that the creamy sauce or kimchi toppings of the fries were flavourful enough. I wouldn’t order the fries again. I also loved the chicken wings. They had great flavour and great batter. The waitress recommended I try the curry flavour next time. cookingwithalison.com
One thing I did really like was their INFUSED SOJU! I got a flight to try a few different flavours – this was very unique! I would recommend this place for drinks and tapas. Food was alright (a bit overrated from all the reviews I’ve read), just come here ready to share food with a bunch of pals!
Unique atmosphere, hip design, and great food as expected given it’s high rating to date. We especially enjoyed our service and consultation as we didn’t know what to order for a group with different tastes but the desire to share. Worth the trip and will return! Would give it a perfect score if the music wasn’t so loud and prices were a bit lower for both food and booze. But hey, it’s always at capacity so why mess with what’s working!
It was a great cool hip vibe when u walk in! There’s a menu specials board on the left wall as you walk in and the right side has some infused alcohol! The back top wall has some very creative mixed drinks and the menu is very hipster new age Korean dishes! Definitely a place to try if your looking for something new and exciting! The dishes are good!
Drinks are really good here. They make killer cocktails with soju. But if you are looking for a meal, I would pass. Ordered a lot of dishes and nothing blew me away. This place is meant for socializing and drinking. The atmosphere is great and the crowds are in their 20s-30s.
I love the vibe and concept of Han Ba Tang. A Korean Fusion Tapas bar where I can munch on Korean inspired sharing plates, have a Asian Fusion cocktails and catch a baseball, basketball and hockey game? A cocktail with ginseng inside? Drinking something that is tasty and with health benefit. I am in!
