Visited for early dinner around 6 pm, and we ordered 2special rolls with my friend. As soon as someone(maybe an owner) heard the server confirmed our orders, he said ‘that’s all??!!!!’ He said. We meant to drink a lot on the night after that order as it was a kinda special day for us, but we felt so bad for him. Recommed to go somewhere else to experience better one. Definitely not recommended. Neither the waitress isn’t nice.

After my third try, I’m not returning. The first time I came here the food was good as was the service and atmosphere, but the prices were high for the portions and quality. Second attempt the service was painfully slow, dinner took 2 hours and it was not because we wanted a nice lingering meal. For my third try, service was terrible, loud rap was playing which isn’t the most enjoyable when paying for an expensive sushi dinner…and worst of all the rice was dry/stale. There were very few types of fish for the sashimi dinner and the rolls were bland.
My boyfriend, his sister, and I tried Kiyomizu (41 Spring Garden Avenue) for a somewhat late dinner on a Saturday night. Kiyomizu is a beautifully decorated Japanese restaurant up in North York. The place was pretty quiet when we walked in and chose a booth to be seated. We were brought hot towels to clean our hands. After looking over the menu, we decided to share a few items. The sashimi & sushi boats come with miso soup and a salad (for two or three people depending on which one you order), so we were served those first (did not take a picture of the small salad!). We ordered a third miso soup for our party.MISO SOUP $2HIYASHI TOFUCold tofu with green onion, ginger with sesame oil sauce $4Our first appetizer was delicious! I really like tofu and the seasonings with this dish worked really well together.SABASHIOGrilled mackerel with sea salt $7Im also a huge fan of mackerel and really enjoyed this dish! The fatty parts were especially good. Both of these appetizers were fairly simple and delicious, but I think I enjoyed this one a little bit more. I could have had the entire thing for myself.NAGOYA SASHIMI & SUSHI BOAT12 pieces of sashimi, 9 pieces of sushi, & 6 pieces of special roll $34The Nagoya boat is usually meant for two people, but we got it to share between the three of us. The sushi were all fresh and we were pretty happy with our choice! Theres a nice variety and the presentation is very pleasing. The special deep fried roll was particularly memorable. Also check out the super cute soy sauce pot. This was a great find! We were served in a friendly and timely manner and the kitchen staff yelled out their thank yous and goodbyes as we left the restaurant. hollyedejer.wordpress.com
The food is consistently good. Their sushi is fresh and the bento boxes are excellent. Service is friendly and efficient.
Excellent! Dinner included salad, small noodle dish, edamame, miso and a scoop of green tea ice cream. Sushi was fresh and well prepared- some of the best in TO. Decor…ok, service great!
Nice Place, Nice Food, Good Service. This place had good food amidst a comfortable atmosphere. With booths good for 4, my friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere where servers were friendly. They greet you when you arrive. They thank you when you leave aside from giving good service. Not a big resto so it wasn’t noisy.
