Yummy Chicken Souvlaki. One of our favorite place to visit for lunch from work. The chicken souvlaki is delicious 🙂
Won’t be going back. Been going to this nice little family spot for years, but last night will be the last time I think – service was rude and terrible, greek salad was tasteless, and the so called Super Souvlaki was half the size it used to be and there was barely any chicken inside. Too bad, we enjoyed this place, but no more! New decor, perhaps new owners? Terrible experience.
We have been going to Laterna for over 10 years, but never again. The food is good, but the attitude is awful. The past 2 times we walked out, the last time being last night at about 7:15 pm. We were 2 people and there were 3 empty tables, 2 larger ones and a table for 4. Several tables for 4 were occupied by 2 people. One of the waitresses came up to us and asked us how many. We told her 2. She looked around, then said to hold on a moment. She went back, talked to the 2 other waitresses and someone in the kitchen. Then she came back, ignored us and went to take an order. The other 2 waitresses also kept looking at us , but nobody came over . After 5 minutes of standing there we left. This is the second time that something like this has happened. I can understand not giving us one of the large tables, but there was an open table that seated 4, and there were other similar tables that we occupied by 2 people, so I don’t know what the problem was. They have lost me as a customer with their attitude. NEVER AGAIN
Our new favorite caual place… A number of weeks ago friends of ours suggested we eat at Laterna. We tried it that one Saturday night and have been back 3 times since then. Needless to say we really like the place. The food is good, atmosphere is comfortable and cozy, and the price is reasonable. Typically we have their chicken brochettes or their chicken souvlaki sandwich all very tasty. We also love their salad and when we finish it always want more. No refills though, too bad! On one occasion a friend of ours ordered their steak sandwich, that did not turn out to be a good choice. My kids went and tried their pizza, also very good. All in all, nice casual place for a family meal or a simple date night in a relaxed cozy atmosphere, or fun with firends. We are going back tonight again, so yes, this is a thumbs up!
Rude!. I have never been treated so rudely! Waitress/manager brought the wrong dishes and claimed it was our faults. I can see from other reviews that this is not the first time this has happened at this restaurant. Besides the terrible service, the salad, once the order was begrudgingly corrected, was very soggy. Would never return to this establishment.
Customer service???. Items missing on a pick up order, after having to make a return trip called liars and refusing to give us items we paid for. Certainly the first time we experienced such horrible customer service!
Real bad service. Went the restaurant on sat night 7 30. was not that crowded. able to seat my party of 3 right away. no menus given. water came next no menus. asked who is serving us, the reply was she is busy, not my section, but I will tell her.know I asked for menus. it arrived in a few minutes. waited ten more minutes and walked out. at the door they came running after us. I was not impressed to wait to be served and then I would have to wait for my food. I left to go elsewhere. maybe I will try them again in the next few months. complained to owner, did not even offer to say, come back dinner or drink on us. she did not know this happened. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
