  NCE BBQ is a new Northern Style Chinese restaurant in the Thornhill area. The great thing is that this is probably one of the few (or only?) Northern chinese restaurant in the immediate area. The big focus for this place seems to be their Peking Duck, which is done very well. The place is HUGE, so it’s ideal for larger parties.As mentioned earlier, the Peking Duck is the big focus here. Along with the Peking Duck, we also ordered jellyfish, spicy clams, bbq lamb skewers, bbq shrimp skewers, and cabbage skewers. The peking duck is done very well. It might be one of the best in Toronto from the few that we have tried. The skin is very crisp and there, surprisingly, isn’t much grease. The meat is juicy and the accoutrements are great as well. The jellyfish wasn’t good. Not tender enough and way too sour. The spicy clams are real good (though some need to be cleaned more as some were a bit sandy). The flavor is there though and the portion size is huge. The bbq lamb and shrimp skewers are very good, and that cumin cabbage is SO good. They finish you off with complimentary soft serve ice cream that is also so damn good!I wish I could say that all this food was consumed by a larger group of people, but it was only me and my girlfriend…Either way, we had made multiple trips already, despite the place being open for less than a month. The service here is rather quick, while the owner is very nice. The food is stellar, and the prices are pretty fair. Nice inside and out, so will definitely have return visits from us. cheatdayeveryday.com
