Had a quick dinner here with my friends as to we were around the area and was in the mood for Vietnamese food. Place was quite busy so we thought their food must be good. Lots of items on the menu and decently priced. I had the bbq pork and spring roll vermicelli, my friend the lemongrass chicken and pork rice dish and the other a small beef brisket pho. Vermicelli was good…wasn’t very fond of the vermicelli they used since I prefer the thinner ones. It could also use some mint or greens since it was lacking some freshness. The broth from the pho was good at first and then lost its flavor towards the end but still pretty decent. Sprouts could also be more fresh. The rice dish was well…you’re typical rice dish. Nothing special but good. That could use some fried egg like other places. Lastly, hate the plastic cups they use for the tea/water…it’s pretty worn out. Service was efficient and food was decent but I can’t say I would come back anytime soon. There are plenty of options in the area but woukd reconsider this place since it’s cheap.

Recently (in the past 6 months) renovated, so the place is much cleaner looking and feels much brighter inside.Have been coming to this place for many years and the food has always been decent. Since the renovations the place seems to be always full of people now.Overall good value, this time I got the raw beef and beef flank noodle soup and the pork spring rolls. Both were good. The beef in the soup could have had more taste and been more tender however it was still alright. Good place in the neighbourhood for decent Vietnamese food.

Kevin and I stopped by Vietnamese Delight (5533 Yonge Street) for a quick lunch in North York. This small and homey restaurant is a short walk from Finch station next to the H-Mart. Its store front has a blue sign with a cute cartoon-cow-mascot, haha.HOUSE SPECIAL BEEF NOODLE SOUPrare beef, beef ball, tendon, tripe, brisket$6.25 (S)Kevin ordered the house special pho, which was good. Really doesnt stand out next to other pho that Ive had or even in the area, but good enough value for its price.LEMONGRASS PORK CHOP WITH RICE$6.25I ordered one of the lunch specials (L3, to be exact) which came with a fried spring roll and a choice of soda or soy milk. We had also been served some hot tea while we decided on what we were ordering. Again with this dish, nothing particularly worth noting, but great portion size for its price and good flavour. I actually enjoyed it more than the pho. It wasnt very busy and service was pretty fast. hollyedejer.wordpress.com

Every lucky foodie has 2 favorite pho places. One you would make plans with friends to go and drive half an hour to, and one that is just *right there* with soup and noodles that taste good enough that you can’t really find fault, but not amazing that you’d write home about. My neighbourhood pho digs happened to be Delight that is just 100 steps away from home. Everything is decent at this place: soup flavorful, noodles thin and not overcooked, portion generous, price adequate, variety ok. I do like their Vietnamese spring rolls and the coupons for free snacks they occasionally give out. But don’t worry about making a trip here and be underwhelmed by the place. Rather, if you’re already in Yonge and Finch and seeking comfort food, look no further than this lil place I call pho home.

This place forced my friends and I to pay tip and we are students.

Go elsewhere. The quality of the food here is below average. Fish sauce is tasteless and lemongrass chicken/pork is basically baked with salt and pepper and light marinade. Not worth it….

Had pho with raw beef, tendon, and brisket. Everything tasted bland and the beef was pretty tough. Tendon was cooked nicely till tender, but still really under seasoned. The portion size was great though.
