Every time I go here, the place gets better and better! I think they just did some renovations too. Their staff seems perkier and the atmosphere is more lively than usual. They seem to have wing specials every day. I was surprised when we went in yesterday that they had half price boneless wings. I got the gar gar parm flavor after the waitress recommended it. I was so impressed, it was just cooked to perfection. My friend had the ceaser special, which was a ceaser drink garnished with 3 pieces of chicken wings and 3 beer battered onion rings. That was only $10. The waitress said that was their new Thursday special. I guess we’ll be visiting on Mondays for half price wings and Thursdays for these new specials.
2017/02/01Butter Chicken Wings? Sure, why not? I tried out Puck ‘N Wings today at lunchtime. This is definitely a sports bar. Hockey sticks stand guard at some of the booths, the long bar has many televisions, and the general design and layout is fairly basic. So back to the food. Lots of choices of flavour and heat for wings, and they have other stuff too. For some reason my eye caught the Butter Chicken Wings, so I decide to give them a try. My guess is the sauce came out of a jar, but it still tasted pretty good. And it was very messy, getting the sauce all over my fingers and face. Yes, they provided the obligatory wet wipes to clean it up. However, there was a mild, lingering aroma of the sauce for the rest of the afternoon. SWMBO even asked if I had butter chicken earlier. Service was okay. One of the servers was pleasant, and one was a bit gruff.
Came here when we were craving wings (duh) and we were very impressed. Happened to be a Monday night so wings were half price, definitely a bonus. The place was almost empty, and so the service was great, not sure how service is on a busy night. The wings were awesome, lots of flavour choices, and it’s clean and decent for a sports bar. They’re a welcome change from the many sushi/eastern cuisines in this area.
This place has had a bad reputation in the past but seems like there’s new management now. Typical sports bar, tons of TVs, good music, good food (wings are delicious). Only suggestion would be to have some craft beers as well, other than that can’t complain!
Primarily known for their wings, obviously. Puck’N Wings is located right off Yonge and Finch which makes it a prime spot for those looking to grab drinks after work. The place itself is rather large and in spite of this, it never seems to be packed. There is a fairly wide patio in the front where you could watch all the weird people of Yonge Finch go about their day while munching on your wings and drinking your beer.I usually come on Mondays when they have Half Off Wings (w drink purchase). The wings here are pretty stellar as they are some giant jumbo wings that are battered, fried, and tossed in a sauce of your choice. You could also get them naked without breading if your heart so desires, but with their wide array of sauces, that would be foolish.I’ve had the Dragon wings which are their sweet and spicy sauce, and their buffalo wings as well. While the wings are giant and plump, I find the breading and sauces too much. Especially buffalo sauce as the wings just swim in a pool of it. The Dragon is better because it’s a sticky sauce that doesn’t have any pool of sauce waiting below. My friend had the 2 hottest wing flavors possible and though her spice tolerance is impressive, she actually teared up a bit.Haven’t had anything else but their wings and fries, but I can’t complain. I really enjoyed the wings and the place has enough TVs to satisfy any sports lovers out there. Service is hit or miss, but some of the servers are quite a treat for the eyes. Definitely make your way over here for wings on Monday night and don’t feel shy to bring a party. cheatdayeveryday.com
With barely any sauce on each wing this chicken wing joint is barely adequate. The chicken wings were weak at best. The service was good and the tables were clean.
Wings were actually pretty good. Service was atrocious. Owner should be ashamed at the level of service. Slow, non-attentive and uninterested.
