Very good restaurant. Amazing fried chicken great appetizers and a nice cozy place. Just wish the service would be a little bit better and more efficiently
OK, this place is a little bit overrated. However, I must warn you that I’m not a fan of fried chicken to begin with. I went with the Soy Garlic Chicken because I’ve heard good things about it, but little did I expect it to be… SWEET! Savoury lovers beware, for the sauce on this chicken is infused with hints of sweet syrup. I was NOT expecting that, and so my experience was a little unpleasant. Once I got past the sweetness, the meat is actually quite tender and juicy. The complimentary Corn Cheese hotplate was a welcome addition, but again it had sweet notes in the creamy cheese sauce.
Food was very, very good (but not the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, as some have stated). Soy garlic chicken was fine, but I preferred the green onion chicken and chicken with sauce (they don’t elaborate what sauce; it’s sweet, and slightly spicy). We also had the spicy chicken, the only non-battered and fried item of the night, which was really tasty. All the chicken was cooked perfectly, really nice and juicy inside, crisp batter on the outside. Great portions – we had a ton of food, and two ‘globes’ of beer (100 oz!) and came out to just over $31 per person. We got there early to get a table, and it was consistently packed the whole night. You do have to flag down the servers if you need anything; once it gets busy, you can’t really blame them for this. Every time you need something, the pleasant servers are happy to get it for you.
Had a great meal at the Fry and I have been a frequent customer here coming on various occasions. I always ordered the Boneless Fried Chicken with Green Onion which is their signature dish here. It is always so delicious and awesome to try for anyone coming here for the first time. Also tried the corn dish and simply loved it. These are two dishes that I would recommend getting here. Service is quick and the staff are quite friendly. The place is quite small though and sometimes it can quite busy on the Friday evenings and weekends. Overall, I would highly recommend this. Can’t wait to be back again!
KFC without the Colonel.A place to enjoy the vice combination of fried chicken and beer.Order anything off the menu and enjoy the sides they bring you while you wait for the all fried goodness.
The food here is stupendous! The spicy fried chicken is pretty hot, but it is so good that I was willing to bear the heat. The butter garlic fries and green onion chicken was pretty amazing as well. Definitely going to be a regular hangout going forward
The chicken at The Fry is sooo good! Unlike other fried chicken I’ve had, this is actually not oily. Between the two of us we ate almost the whole chicken, whereas at KFC, I would stop eating after 2 pieces.
