I wanted to come here for awhile late post was for my mom’s birthday. The interior is very classy the hostess seemed overwhelmed but had us seated at a roomy booth. Our server was also the bartender got the Hollywood burger while my sister got the Chiptole Pizza and my mom had the Fish Taco’s. It was Valentine’s Day so I can’t scold them too much but food took well close to 30 minutes I don’t mind if the food is worth it but when it arrived it was basically sub par though my mom said she really enjoyed hers. Also my burger was tad on the burnt side appears they are short staffed need better organization
Horrible service, it took 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks, 20 minutes to change the keg to have our second round delayed and 51min to get our appetizers. Our waitress said sorry they were slammed… On a Wednesday night at 9pm??
This is the WORST restaurant and service I have ever ever experienced!!!!!!!!! I don’t believe that you guys are still in business. This will be all over the internet, forums, reviews, my 50K followers, our neighborhood facebook page. I wll be doing everything I can to tell everyone I know about this horrible experience. We went there yesterday and there were only a couple of other tables. We ordered the food, got the drinks, then the waiters disappeared. 30 minutes later I went to ask for the food and one of the waiters said that the food was ordered 7 minutes ago!!! I said it had been 28 minutes exactly, she said no it was 7 minutes as if I was lying!!! I told her that I am not a liar and showed her a call 28 minutes ago I placed at the time of food ordering. She said I have no choice but to either wait for the food or leave!!!! I asked for a manager, she said that she was the manager!!!!! Anyway, the kids were very hungery and we didn’t want to go somewhere else so we waited or the food. Food arrived and it was absolutely terrible. None of us liked the food. Even the fries were very oily and gross. HORRIBLE PLACE .. HORRIBLE STAFF.. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT … HORRIBLE FOOD.. HORRIBLE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was appalled at the service. Our server knocked over an entire glass of water one of the members of our group who also happened to be 5 months pregnant. What we got was 2 towels and a server that disappeared. They didn’t bring more napkins that we had all used to mop up the mess and then when we were leaving as we had theater tickets the brought her a hair dryer. And didn’t even discount the bill a penny. The server handed us a $5 off coupon on our next visit. Which will NOT be used.
Brown’s Social is a very cool restaurant. The decor is hip and modern and the couple of times I’ve been there for lunch it’s always bustling. The food is really good (although I’ve had the same dish twice) and the service is great. Having my baby with me, they were accommodating with a good table during the busy lunch hour. Great lunch spot.
I’ve been twice for lunch, and recommended to friends / family and everyone has loved it. Food is fantastic, we have had: Pizza, Chicken Burger, Fish Tacos, Halibut healthy Bowl, blackened chicken ceaser, thai soup, and Dragon Bowl and they were all top notch. Waitresses are attentive and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time. Decor – i find really cool/fun. Cant wait to go back and try more of the (diverse and creative) menu items.
Trying out Browns Socialhouse Oakville. My wife and I tried out the new Browns Socialhouse in Oakville this evening for dinner. The place looks great, with a nice modern design. Getting started was a bit slow because there were only three waitstaff working at 6PM. I ordered a Keith’s draft, but when it came it was flat and watery. I asked the waiter to be certain that he gave me a Keith’s, and when he checked with the bar he found out that the bargirl had poured it from the end of the keg. So the waiter got me a house beer instead, which was better, but nothing great. My wife ordered fish and chips and I ordered a beef dip. The meals came in a reasonable time. My wife liked her halibut and fries, but as I bit into my beef dip I kept running into fairly tough tendons. There was also supposed to be some horseradish mayo, but there was none on the plate and the beef dip didn’t taste like it had any. I asked the waiter and he said it was supposed to be on the bread. I looked, but I didn’t see anything, so the waiter brought me a small amount in a little metal sauce dish. When I started the second half of the sandwich I noticed that the sliced roast beef was running out, and what was there was also full of tendons. I opened up the bread and saw that most of the bread was empty. There was also supposed to be grilled onions in the sandwich, but there were only a couple of tiny, smashed pieces stuck to one side of the bread. At that point I realized that the roast beef was not from a freshly cooked roast but was supplied from some supplier as very precisely sliced ultra-thin slices of pre-cooked roast beef. So while I was disappointed with my meal, my wife was reasonably satisfied with her meal. Never-the-less, we have had much better experiences at a number of other restaurants within a few blocks of Browns Social that I see no reason for me to return to Browns Social.
