Great little grocery that also acts as a bakery and deli. Despite it being on the smaller end of grocery stores, everything is well stocked and organized in such a way that makes it easy to get your shopping done. The bakery offers up a wide variety of baked goods and sweets. There is also a freshly baked goods section in the back where you can get a wide variety of baked carbs like pies, bagels, breads, etc. The section is rather large and the choices seemed plentiful. They also have a deli section that offers quite a large amount of deli meats and cheeses. The cafeteria section on the far left offers hot foods that center around European and Italian foods. They have hot sandwiches as well including veal, chicken, meatball, and other specialties. They also have rotisserie and fried chicken as well. The place seems to be on the pricier end, similar to that of a Whole Foods mart, but not as large. The service here is quick and super friendly, so it really makes for a great shopping experience. Really wish this place was closer to the East end of Toronto as it would be a welcome addition. cheatdayeveryday.com
Amazing selection. Their pastry counter is just ok . A bit pricey.Bread/desserts section is plenty! Spanakopita are out of this world. They sell sfogliatelle. Meats– priceyHot table– their pride and joyI saw one of the bossss yell at a worker because she didn’t put the sign up right. I understand they are a busy place but those workers work their butts off!!
Disappointed. I pre-ordered 4 quiches two weeks in advance of a baby shower I was hosting. The bakery saleslady who took my order went into the back room to ensure that there would be no difficulty in meeting the order. The Friday afternoon before the Shower – on Sunday, someone called from the bakery and left a message on my phone that they would not be able to fill my order. The reason sited was that they were missing an ingredient so they could not produce the quiches. I personally know of no ingredient that could possibly be unavailable for the making of a quiche. I therefore spent the next day purchasing and chopping etc. to prepare my own quiches and spent Sunday baking quiches rather than enjoying the Shower. I found their behavior to be exceptionally unprofessional and definitely not business-like. I certainly will not be ordering anything from this particular bakery in the future.
Problem with a cake order. We placed an order for a birthday cake. Both the cake and icing were stale. Won’t be ordering any more cakes.
Uncaring Staff. Went in to get a latte before 11 for their special price. Waited while others they obviously knew got served before me even though I was ahead. Finally at a minute or two after 11 I was acknowledged but then told I was too late for the special and she was rude! Will never return.
Best lasagna in town – great spot, lots of choice, fair pricing
Great stuff. I’ve been coming here since I went to high school. We would always stop by for lunch whenever we got the opportunity and they never disappointed. Went back a couple of weeks ago (first time after the reno’s) and was happy to see them doing well.
