FOOD:We had come here on a Saturday night at around 6:30 pm for dinner as we were in the area, and had noticed that there were many excellent reviews for this restaurant. I had started off with an appetizer, settling on the Pork Spring Roll (Cha Gio; $5.25), which was quite delicious; crisped to perfection, and with a large amount of pork and other well-prepared items within the roll itself. I loved how large it was, and that it was cut into many pieces, making it easier to dip into the sauce that was given. It definitely set the tone for the remaining food items that were to come!Next, I had settled on the Beef Pad Thai (Pad Thai Bo; $11.99), which included a large helping of noodles, with a variety of bean sprouts, peppers, peanuts, and large beef pieces. This was one of the largest pad thai dishes I had ever eaten, and loved how the dish stayed hot (temperature-wise) for a long-time after it was served to me. I also loved the large amount of peanuts that were given on the side of the dish, which I gladly spread around the noodles.Placing the oyster sauce on the noodles made them taste even better, leaving a delicious taste in my mouth for hours afterwards. There was so much of the pad thai that I had to take it home, which was great as we had leftovers for the next day. The flavours all mixed-well in the dish, along with the large amount of vegetables, beef, and peanuts that were given; definitely a great pad thai dish! My husband had settled on the Large Pho Beef Noodle Soup (Nam Gan Bo Vien; $10.50), which he found to be scrumptious as well!ATMOSPHERE:We noticed that this restaurant was a tad on the small side, as the tables were very close together, and a draft from the door would come into the restaurant each time someone used the door. We would have liked if there was more room to get in-between the chairs and tables, as we had our toddler son with us, and it was difficult to manoeuvre around the restaurant safely. We were sitting at a table near the serving counter at the back, which was better for privacy however, we were sitting beside a large table that had a variety of food items on it, which we figured was for a large take-out order. We did find it a bit strange that the food was sitting there in the open for a long period of time however, we didn’t think anything of it, and just continued to enjoy our meal.SERVICE:When we had come into the restaurant, we were greeted by a younger gentleman, that brought us to our table. We then had to get our own high-chair which we found to be a bit strange however, we noticed that the staff were busy, and didn’t want to bother them any further than necessary. We were given our dishes quite quickly, and the server did come and refill my water glass after I had asked for more water, along with bringing some cutlery for myself and my son. The server then asked at the end of our stay how the meal was, and seemed excited when we had told him that it was delicious considering it was our first visit.COST:1 Pork Spring Roll (Cha Gio): $5.25 + 1 Beef Pad Thai (Pad Thai Bo): $11.99 + 1 Large Pho Beef Noodle Soup (Nam Gan Bo Vien): $10.50 – $27.74 + Tax = $31.35WOULD YOU RETURN?We loved how delicious the food tasted, and the large portion sizes, along with the excellent prices for the food we had received. We did find the restaurant a bit uncomfortable however, that wouldn’t deter us from returning again!
