I visited last week for the first time. Needed a quick lunch. The menu looked promising but pricey. When I received my order (southwest chicken sandwich) it was incredible small for $11.00 with no beverage, and had deli meat instead of real chicken breast. Really not acceptable for this price point. There’s no value and would rather buy a generic subway lunch for same price and bigger portion.

I visited this hidden gem in a quite market in Dundas street . There were more option but I though of trying this place . Great Ambience and amazing staff . Tall guy in black uniform I think it was the manager was very polite and as there was a lean hour , he served us on the table and was very hospitable . We were encouraged sampling of so many soups . Soups were so good that we were confused what to order , Outstanding quality good and great staffing !Must visit here again , my favourite for the day was Lobster Bisque and turkey club with French bread .

really poor service and the sandwiches were bland, dry and the bread was definitely stale. they’re over priced and also have no atmosphere.

Yummy!. We had come here on a Sunday afternoon at around 1:30 pm for a quick lunch. When we walked-in, we were surprised to see that there was only one table with two guests. We assumed that it was due to the timing of our entry at the restaurant. We were surprised though to see how clean and spacious the dining room was, complete with booths, large tables, and beautifully-framed photos on the wall. It was also well-maintained, which is difficult to see nowadays in some restaurants. When we walked-up to the ordering counter, which was complete with a cookie/dessert station on one side, and a large soup station on the other side covered by glass, with a tiny opening at the bottom of the glass to pass soup samples through. We were greeted by a kind woman named Daria, whom asked us if it was our first time and if we would like to try some of the soups that we liked. We both mentioned that it was our first time, and that we would love to try some soups.Daria notified us that the soups change on a daily basis therefore, we would have to come in often to try a variety of soups. We both tried three different soups; Chicken Pot Pie, Lobster Bisque, and Seafood Chowder. Each of the soups came in a small circular black container which was passed through the small window at the bottom of the glass in front of the soup station. Daria was very helpful, asking us if we wanted to try more options once we had finished our first options, and if we had any questions. We then decided to place our order; I settled on the Chicken Pot Pie with the Pesto 3-Cheese sandwich, while my husband settled on the Seafood Chowder with the Chicken Toscana sandwich. Each soup bowl came with a roll on the side so, I settled on the French Baguette roll, while my husband settled on the Multigrain. The total for each meal was about $9.25 therefore with tax, it came out to about $22. We then waited at the front for about five minutes for our items to be ready. Once they were ready, we brought the items to our table. Each tray contained a knife and spoon, along with napkins, with the sandwiches being wrapped tightly in brown paper. The soup containers were quite large, definitely enough to fill us up however, we found the sandwiches to be a tad small as they were only 12 of the size they normally would be. However, since we had the roll, it was an additional piece of bread which filled us up.The Chicken Pot Pie soup had pie crust sprinkled on it (which was delicious!), along with a lot of vegetables and pieces of chicken mixed together. The soup was piping hot (just the way it should be!), with the perfect amount of flavour. The Pesto 3-Cheese sandwich was also delicious, with tomatoes, cheese, and pesto sauce, which created the perfect combination! For the roll, I found it a bit dry (since I didn’t dip it into my soup) therefore, I went to the front counter for some complimentary butter, and spread it on the roll, which made it taste much better!I wish the sandwich were larger as it was quite good, coming out of the oven piping hot with melted cheese. My husband also enjoyed his meal, saying that the ingredients inside of the sandwich were immaculate, although he also wished for more. One suggestion I would make is to toast the roll which comes with the soup as it was a bit cold without being toasted. Once we had finished our meal, we went over to the drink station and disposed of our items that needed to be disposed of. We then admired the scenery around us, noticing that this restaurant also caters to those whom prefer gluten-free and dairy-free options, something that some restaurants dont do nowadays! We also enjoyed how clean everything was, making it a comfortable environment to be in.My husband and I were both thoroughly impressed with how wonderful this restaurant was. Not only was the service wonderful (thank you Daria!), the food was a hit, and it was something fast and easy, along with healthy! The price was also good however, we would have liked to have a bigger sandwich and a toasty roll although, not having those features wouldnt deter us from returning again. We would CERTAINLY return in the near future, and will surely recommend to others. Well done Zoup!
