As a meat eater, I didn’t think I’d like the food as much as I did. I’d give this 5 stars except for the one big downside to Greendoor… the desserts. Their regular food is great but their desserts are awful. Some of the worst I;ve ever had, and we tried 3 different ones. That said, they are easily avoidable and the rest of the food is worth trying. Just go elsewhere for sweets, that’s all.
This place has a plenty of choices to choose from. All dishes are very international and tasty. I felt very great after eating all healthy meals. Staff was friendly.
We had dinner at the Green Door a couple of nights while in Ottawa and really enjoyed it. While the set-up is pretty informal, paying for the meal by weight, the selection is really good and the food was fresh, flavourful and had a homemade quality. It felt healthy and tasty. The choice is impressive, as there is everything from soups, salad fixings, curries, stews, deserts, home made bread. It was really pleasant.
