I came here for drinks with friends one evening. The atmosphere was really good and the beer selection wasn’t large but they had very good beer. Definetly would recommend for a date night place.
Great cocktails and great food. The signature dish is the chicken skins and they were amazing. We also had the ravioli and the corn on the cob with green onion and cilantro. All were very very tasty. Some may feel the salt needs to be reduced a bit. It was a Sunday night and many things were no longer available. Ambience very nice.
First off, the atmosphere and drinks are great. However, it felt like the menu was conceived primarily to be avant-garde rather than delicious. I understand the need to push the customer’s palate but there were definitive flaws in the two dishes I ordered (turnips and quail). The ravioli were pretty good.
Great spot for any occasion!. This restaurant is an awesome venue for almost any occasion – catching up with friends, first date, birthday gatherings, etc. Highly recommend the funky and eclectic atmosphere and menu. Great addition to the neighbourhood and a refreshing break for the franchise-y restaurants found down the street at Landsdowne.
Great drinks. Terrible food.. Loved the drinks. Although quite limited in choice. The steak was nice however the pairing with a funny tasting quail egg and kimchi was odd and off putting. The squid was inedible. Chewy and tasteless. The blooming onion was quite good. The deep fried chicken skin was sooooo salty it was also inedible. Very disappointing. And the topper was watching the waitress take a sip of wine from a glass before she gave it to a customer. Wow! So sad because the neighbourhood needs a fun funky place like this.
Great addition to the Ottawa restaurant scene!!. Checked out Belmont tonight and wow…. it was great. Great cocktails and amazing small plate dining. The Roasted Cauliflower with hollandaise and truffle oil was insanely good!! The Fried Chicken Skin was also great although eating it made you feel like you could have a coronary anytime…. but in a great way!! The Beef Tataki was also incredible. Some of the best small plates dining I have had in Ottawa.
Excellent small plate menu. I like how they integrate big flavour with texture. We showed up at 8pm and there were a lot of people and the vibe was really cool. I ended up leaving at 1am and that rarely happens. Terrific drinks and good music kept us there. This is an excellent addition to Ottawa.
