Just love this place… Had wings and a chef salad tonight, oh and the best caesar in town!!30 Apr, 2012Fantastic!!!. This is a great spot and I always leave impressed. The service is fantastic, the food is exceptional and the atmosphere is inviting; it’s everything you could want from a restaurant. If you haven’t been, you defiantly need to check it out… you wont be disappointed!
Can’t get any better then this!!. Met up with my friends at The Edge on Saturday for the Blues and Jazz Festival and I had to share…We ended up being a group of 10 for the night and ran into lots of familiar faces, this night just kept getting better! The atmosphere and the vibe does not compare to any other restaurant in town; I’m surprised that someone would have something negative say. Live music sounds amazing here and the staff is spectacular; both features draw a great group of people out which guarantees you’ll enjoy yourself here!Even with the large crowd the festival brought out I was never without a drink and we could always reach out to our waitress. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to join my friends for dinner this night but we’ve dined there before and the food is to die for. When I arrived my wonderful friends left no detail unshared about their fabulous meals, leaving me completely jealous that I missed out!If you haven’t checked this spot out I highly recommend you do!
Always one in the bunch. After a terrific weekend in the big Orange – I went to log in to say how much I enjoy your restaurant , entertainment and service! Imagine my surprise to see a sour grape posted. I know the management well enough to say I can’t believe that they would not have tried to address this manner in a civilized way Monday morning not in the blogasphere where there is no recourse. You also failed to mention it was the busiest night of the year for Orangeville EVERYWHERE – The Orangeville Blues and Jazz festival where people come from all over including the GTA. Staff can be an issue anywhere – to judge an entire establishment after numerous good encounters on a stressful evening to begin with – I find it a rather impetuous way to blow off steam. If management was on the floor then you can bet they were doing their best to accommodate people – Looking at the time line – did you even try to speak about this genuinely before you posted your blog of doom? As an entrepreneur who goes the extra mile – I appreciate the other business owners that do the same. I feel compelled to say 86 % of voters can’t be wrong. Social Media is a tool – but most of us with common sense will use it wisely. To Sean, Gary and the others I have gotten to know AND appreciate, keep up the good work. You really do make an evening an experience – and I’ll add my voice to the 86% and say – a GREAT experience.
This place needs new servers!!. In the past this has been a decent place to go, however last night was beyond ridiculous. Our waitress was horrible. She was rude, slow, and just didn’t seem to care. We waited 45min just to get a drink, and that was after we waived down the manager who said he had to do a head count first. However after informing him how long we had been waiting for a drink he brought us our drinks. So we finally get our bills at the end of the night only to find that an automatic 15% had been added for gratuity (FOR WHAT!!!) being a server before myself i am always willing to give a decent tip, but for the first time i didn’t feel a tip was even needed for someone who did absolutely NOTHING! I would have rather taken that money and thrown it out the window. So after she was so horrible she still gets her tip, what does she learn from her poor service. I did however leave a nice note on the bill. I agree with Katie, if you want a nice night out with good service. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Terrible 30th Birthday!. I usually dont like to make a scene but I believe in this case it is necessary! Last night, my husband planned a lovely 30th Birthday dinner at The Edge Wine Bar and Grille in Orangeville. This was booked 5 weeks in advance, up until this point we have had a nice time at this location. Thank goodness the company was great because other than that, I have nothing nice to say! I recognize that it was Blues and Jazz Weekend, but if the restaurant couldnt accommodate us efficiently than they should never should have taken our reservation. My husband was asked to take all of our guests orders (approximately 30 in total and a set menu) prior to the night. Half of our guest did respond and my husband called 3 times to tell give an average of what most people would like to eat. When we arrived at The Edge, our guests were spoken to by the servers in a rude and inconvenienced way! Comments such as; This was the way your party was arranged, You are all eating Caesar salad and steak, Well, if your contact had called we wouldnt have this problem! This is in addition to waiting up to an hour for a drink and having to flag down the staff ourselves. Lastly, my husband was told that his wife agreed to have all of the food put on one bill that we would be paying. When my husband confronted the owner regarding this, he said that this had been discussed and my husband had agreed to this. This conversation had never happened prior to this moment. My guests had enough with waiting for drinks and being treated poorly, so wanted their bills and once again, had to chase wait staff down to pay. We booked this restaurant as an easy and carefree way to celebrate, in the end it was anything but. Think twice about booking at this restaurant.
