Birthday lunch before theatre show. Excellent service. High quality, good food. Many different choices on the menu and just enough of a twist in flavours that make the dishes work. We ordered the deep fried pickles, pulled pork croquettes, beef brisket burger (the group fave), flat iron steak frites, pulled pork sandwich, herbed chicken. Love that they source locally. Good value for price. Will definitely return.
I’d give this establishment a 5 except that I found the piped in music too loud (is every deaf but me?) and therestaurant a bit dim and nondescript but the food, aaahhh the food, a very pleasant surprise!Everything from the Caesar salad to the dessert was top notch. My steak was perfectly cooked and the fries hand cut and delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyedhis pickerel and my mother-in-law raved over the mac n’ cheese. I am a foodie and am so often disappointed by a mediocre meal but not this time. The staff were very attentive and our waitress knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu and chef. Great todiscover that she didn’t exaggerate! We’ll be back.

Amazing service, great atomsphere, excellent entertainment, and the food was delicious. I had the Duck Fat French Fries, and the Deep Fried Pickles.
I love this place! It’s super affordible for what you get. There is nothing in the menu that is bad, the most expensive entree is $26 and it’s worth every penny. The food is amazing quality, local where it can be, seasonal and responsible. The chef is always trying new speicals on the weekend and their portion sizes are perfect.If you want the best chicken liver pate you have ever ate, go to BVR and get it
