Excellent cold drinks and damn good food. Started with a small nacho and got even better from there. Over 3 lbs of wings, ‘slaw & pizza got dug into at this table. Go out and enjoy!

We went there on July 29th for a quick dinner and opted for the patio as the weather was great. We both ordered the peppercorn hamburger with a garden salad. The burger was juicy and flavourful. The salad was good too. Service was quick and friendly. The patio was very lively with a cozy vibe. This place is known for their wings so I’ll definitely be back to try them … they have a location in downtown Hamilton too so I might check out that location next!

This is a franchise that comes from the first Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY – where the original chicken wing was invented. Being from Buffalo, I was excited to go and get some good wings. I will say, in Buffalo there’s a bit of a rivalry, and a lot of the locals go to a different wing spot. This said, Anchor Bar is the original and a classic. It’s a regular on any tourist chain in the original city. This particular location was good, but not great. The wings were very good, better than you’ll get at almost any other place in Burlington – without a doubt… but the other items on the menu are a bit lacking in flavour. The side salad we ordered seemed like just a heap of vegetables without really any seasoning or flavour. The atmosphere is what it should be. It’s a pub, and has a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. If you’re looking for really good wings in Burlington – go. If you’re looking for the best wings in the world, make the drive to Buffalo, NY. thechefandthedish.com
