Were there on Valentine’s day. The lemon chicken I ordered was soovercooked/dry that I could have used a steak knife to cut it. I contacted the restaurant after the fact toshare my experience and never heard back.I waited to allow them time to respond/address – but have not heardback. So I am going public with myexperience. Otherwise everything elsewas fine.

This was probably one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. To begin with either the server or the kitchen made an errorwith our order & one of our party was served veal instead of chicken. When we pointed it out, the one meal was whisked away with no explanation or apology. About 5 minutes later the server returned to say a replacement meal would take 15 minutes or she could replace the dish with a pasta dish more quickly. We opted for the pasta since the rest of our party were already eating. Then another one of our party found a grey hair in his meal (which none of us have). The server barely acknowledged the disgusting addition at all. Then to top it off the meal that they made the error on with was still charged to us. Very poor customer service. The food was mediocre at best, in fact I have a problem even giving it that compliment. Everything wasvery oily & garlicky.Yuck is the best way to describe it. There are a lot of great restaurants in Orillia, don’t waste your time & money eating here.

Could be a Lot Better. . .. – If some one was paying attention. Cosmo’s was highly rated by our friends who dine out frequently in Orillia, so I anticipated a very nice dinner. There were only three other tables occupied on this Saturday night which I thought was strange, but soon realized why. A quick scan of the menu revealed it was loaded with all the culinary has-beens of every boring Italian chain restaurant. Our meals were judged just average, even by my friends, nothing was exceptional. Service was disappointingly amateur with our knives being lifted off our salad plates and set back on the table as an example. As each person finished their plate was whisked away. What’s the rush? Or does someone think that’s good service? The plate glass tabletop cover over the table cloth allowed our plates to slide around keeping us amused until we discovered that by dampening our napkins and placing them beneath the plates eliminated the Cosmo challenge. No one inquired during the meal if we enjoyed the food. Too busy, or maybe just don’t care? I wanted to provide feedback to Cosmo but there’s no email address available. Maybe he checks these online sites. Cosmo says he got his start in the hospitality business at Fern Resort. Well that would have been in the time when owners Marilou and Robert were ever-present and always checking on quality. They really cared and built a very successful business. There was a time when restaurants like this could succeed by providing inexpensive food and competent service at reasonable prices. With the growing level of competition these places with high prices for inexpensive food easily disappoint diners who expect better value for money. If no one cares, how can a place improve?

Good. Good restaurant; went on a Saturday before a concert at Rama and though the food is DELICIOUS, I just found it too noisy. Perhaps t visit on a quieter evening during the week would be better.

Calamari!. We have enjoyed many good meals at Cosmo’s and it is our first choice for Italian food in Orillia. They have an amazing calamari appetizer with a spicy white wine sauce that will have you asking for more bread just to soak it up! Service is always friendly and shows good attention to detail. Wines are reasonably priced.
