Disappointed!. On a beautiful sunny spring morning, we decided to stop into Tammies Place. Which many of my co-workers and friends, suggested as a great cheap place for breakfast. We ordered two of the breakfast specials which had been advertised with a wonderful price of $4.99 (along those lines). The service was decent, I have a background in the food service industry ranging from fine dinning to diner food. We had our order within minutes! Everything sounds great so far…right? Not so much, we got our order and both plates were covered in grease! My husbands bacon was ice cold, my sausage was a little to under cooked for my liking. So we politely finished our meal, thanked our server for such quick service, and received our bill. Our apparently ‘cheap’ breakfast specials turned into an almost $30.00 bill. You may think we ordered many ‘extras’ or some sort of fancy breakfast cocktail. Think again, my husband had a small glass of orange juice, I had one cup of coffee. I’m not the kind of person to make a scene or anything of the sort, so we paid our bill and left. In the twenty minutes it took for us to arrive home both of us were dying to get to the bathroom if you catch my drift. After all of this I would not recommend making a stop to this establishment. Many of the online reviews it has say that it is a young hip diner, it is anything but. While we ate our breakfast a total of three other people had joined us in the dinning room, who I would classify as being ‘senior citizens’.
Hot turkey sandwich is cold. We stopped by for lunch. I had a reuben sandwich with fries. It was okay. My wife had the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The sandwich was served with a gray coloured gravy which did not look appetizing although it tasted fine. However the sandwich was cold.
Great Atmosphere & Food. If you love real food and fast – this is the place for you. Highly recommend.
