Very disappointed in this restaurant!!! Choose the fettuccini with shrimp for $17.95. It was good but only small shrimp in it. Price should of been $7.95 not $17.95. Then I got a $15.95 medium hawaiian pizza to take home. What a waste of money. One slice of ham (like the package of ham store bought) and 1 pineapple slice cut up. Very bland tasting, actually boring. I will never go there again, nor will I recommend it.
A great place to sit down and enjoy some delicious pasta, or stone baked pizza. I’m never disappointed when I visit Avanti. The service is generally fast and friendly. The decor is nice and the tables are spread out enough so that you are not cramped. I usually order the veal parm, or a pizza. I find the value and quality worth the cost.
My wife and l love to walk down to Avanti’s for the best pasta dishes in Durham. It is by far one of our favorite restaurants to eat at. During our last visit last week something happened. Our waitress was by far the rudest most sarcastic server I have ever experienced. My wife asked her what the difference was between two salads and the waitress red the menu discription to my wife like she was stupid and could read. We will go back because we love the food, never a bad meal. If she is working the section we sit in next time we will ask to be moved.
