Stopped here for the first time on the way back to the Kawartha Lakes. Would I go again, definitely, would I recommend to friends, certainly. It was pleasant enough, clean and tidy, attentive service. Washroom clean and well stocked.May as well get the negative out of the way first………the table water was undrinkable!!!We weren’t looking for fine dining, but did ‘need’ some decent food and that’s what we got. We shared an order of tastyChicken Tikka from the appetizer menu while we decided what to order. We followed with Chicken Quorma and Chicken Bolcha, both of which were excellent. We took up the offer of the combo for $13.99 to see what it was like.It includedsalad, which was slightly amusing, as it was a small handful of lettuce and two slices of cucumber, not a sliver of tomato or perhaps pepper in sight, but that was fine. Also included was the naan bread which was good, although a little underdone in places if I was to be critical. The chicken dishes were what you would expect for $8.99, but very tasty and I would have no hesitation in recommending, although don’t expect enough for leftovers. The dessert was rice pudding, small in quantity, but tasted really nice. Perhaps a little sweeter than what I am used to, but I wouldn’t put anybody off choosing it, that’s for sure. The Maharajah is a nice restaurant to stop in at or go out to with friends. It was a quiet night (Sunday evening) so I don’t know what it’s like under pressure, but they seemed reasonably busy withdeliveries. We’ll be going again, that’s for sure, enjoyed it.

What a great experience and great food! Loved the atmosphere. My friends and I couldn’t decide on what to order so our waiter would recommend stuff to try. Everything was so delicious!! I recommend this place to everyone!! For Apps we had Fish Pakora and Onion Bhaji. For vegetables we had Baingan Bhurta. For our meals we had Chicken Quarma, Chicken Dhansak. We also ordered Garlic Nan bread.

Finally!. Finally there is an indian restaurant in Oshawa that serves good authentic food. My wife and I loved the butter chicken and the special Quorma. The samosas weren’t that great, I think they might be frozen, but the rest of the food was really good. The Naan was awesome! I will be ordering from them regularly. I haven’t been to the restaurant, but have ordered online twice through just eat.
