For those who want to experience Thai food without going there. I have on other occasions commented how delicious Malinee’s food is. This is to comment of a different kind.I take exception to the Yuck commentator. He is a pseudo Thai culinary expert that never went to Thailand much less lived there to appreciate the nuances of Thai cuisine. Indeed, the comments show his level of ignorance on the most rudimentary aspects of Thai cuisine. There is no doubt that this person has an interest in the restaurant mentioned by name. In addition, he further confirmed his obtuseness, by not noticing the contradiction of recommending an Oshawa restaurant after the derogatory comment made about the City. Duh!I lived in the Bangkok area for a number of years. While there I travelled to the North and South of the Country on business, which gave me a unique opportunity to visit a very large number of restaurants and food shops. This of course doesnt make me a Thai culinary expert, but gave me an appreciation for the Regional flavours. I also learnt that Thai cuisine as we know it, started with the Royalty in Ayutthaya, the former Capital. Today there are beautiful parks surrounding the empty palaces, monuments and of course local food restaurants that enjoyed during my many visits there. From that experience I can say that Malinees Thai house food exhibits the unequivocal flavours of that Region, which are perhaps the best in Thailand. For those that like me love Malinees Thai House food, I want to share that Malinee didnt became a restaurateur after arriving in Canada. In fact, she owned and operated The Muslim House, a highly acclaimed restaurant in Bangkok. And having experienced her cooking there I can say that it is equally delectable here.
YUCK!!. The coconut chicken soup was filled with carrots cut like French fries, the satay chicken tasted like chicken jerky bathed in salt and the pad thai was not just visually disgusting..it tasted terrible!!…go to Oshawa Thai Cuisine, cheaper and wayyyyyyyy better. I can not believe this dump gets positive reviews but than again Oshawa is so weird anything is possible!
The tomyam and red curry were super delicious!. After reading the great reviews here, we had to give it a try. We ordered the Pad thai, red curry and tomyam kung. The tomyam and red curry were super delicious… really flavourful with big huge shrimps and lots of veggie. Though I enjoyed the flavour of the Pad thai, I was a little disappointed that it was mainly just noodles and few pieces of chicken. We called in for a pickup order, service was fast and friendly. Will definitely order from there again.
Amazing food. Seriously the best pad Thai and red curry chicken I have ever had. A+
