The Best in Durham Region. Regular customer for years, always the best service, large portion size, hot sauce!! out of this world. Highly recommended, you wont be disappointed.
God Like. I say god like, because they satisfy the taste buds and are one of the most healthiest. I always get the beef shawarma, And medium Jimmy’s hot sauce, (mind you i can take a lot of hot sauce, and the medium amount here is at the top of my scale). They make it to perfection. Not one single thing is out of place. Just awesome, that was all about the food in general. Now about the people. i have never met anyone more friendly then Jimmy and his family, they are sitting on Gold…..correction they are Gold. They make me feel so happy that i visit them by driving 30-45 minutes to go there and get the shawarma 1000% worth it every time. Going there this Saturday just thinking about 🙂
THE BEST SHAWARMA ON THE PLANET. The food speaks for itself. Every time I go here there’s a lineup of customers. Very friendly and efficent service. Fresh and delicious food. Definitely a must-try. 🙂
Okay.. Ignore the douchebags below. The food here is fantastic. And I’m a frigging foody. Not only do I drive from Scarborough just to eat here, but I also go twice a week. Yes it’s stuffed with salad but get the Fatoush and add garlic and humus. Unbelievably good. I’ll admit the idea of microwaved chicken is a bit weird. But once you bite in you’ll be hooked. Great family run restaurant and well worth every penny!
Shawamas made for a Rabbit. I was disappointed by Pita Deli as we were looking for a new shawarma place and read the overwhelming reviews claiming they were good here. I ordered a beef shawarma and was amazed at how much lettuce they stuffed inside a pita. Sadly the beef, when I found it, was not spiced as shawarma meat should be, but rather dry. There was no traditional tahini, nor hot sauce, just tzaziki. Sorry folks but just because your sandwich is massive and requires two hands to hold it, does not mean it is good value. They serve quantity, not quality. But since they feed the time crunched masses from the offices above, it is understandable. However a pound of lettuce cannot replace the good flavour of a well spiced, moist shawarma bathed in tahini. Hopefully the owners will go to Toronto and try one someday.
Too big. Very generous portions and they won’t make something light on the dressing if you ask. At least their version of lite is still more than a regular portion somewhere else. They are good but remember there are less calories in one Big Mac combo than a basic pita. Dont go here if you are health conscious or looking for a healthy lunch.
I love pita deli I go there every Friday I could eat one every day without getting tired of it that’s how good it is. And the people that work there are really nice to.
