Mediocre at Best. We had a variety of rolls and they all tasted the same. Bland with next to no flavour. So many better sushi restaurants close by. Won’t dine here again.
It’s a nice, cute little place. It does not take long for the food to come out but the food is not always prepared in a presentable way – e.g. The rolls are not rolled properly, food is coming out of them. I’d like to eat it as a roll, not as a mess of food. The quality is satisfactory. The service is not always the best either. I prefer lunch over dinner. It’s not bad but it’s not the best place either.
Excellent food cooked or sushi. However the attendants attitudes are very poor. Come for the food not service!
Our choice for sushi when staying close to home
Excellent food! I’m not into the raw stuff anywhere, but all the things I do eat tasted really here. The California Rolls were so good!! The service was fast and friendly. An empty dish didn’t sit on our table for more than 2 mins. I would definitely go back.
Good Food, Poor Service. Although the selection of the food was satisfactory, I found the service to be very poor. Maybe my table was the exception after seeing these other reviews, but I am not inclined to return after my last visit. I attended for lunch with a friend. The selection of food is good for the price, and it was good food…when it arrived. We were there considerably longer than we intended because our waitress was absent for long periods, and portions of our orders never arrived. The final straw was when we were waiting for our dessert order for a half an hour. I finally got up to ask another waitress what had happened and it seems our waitress left and didn’t put our order through at all. To be clear, it is very possible this is the only case where this has happened at Tokushima, and there could have been extenuating circumstances that I’m not aware of. Unfortunately I have to report that my party was not very satisfied with their visit.
It’s an honest ayce with not much fancy dishes, which is good as quality is consistent, the hot food is surprisingly good especially the general Taos chicken etc, the fried rice noodle is exceptionally good as well, the rolls are ok.Lunch is exceptional value, I personally think lunch is the best time as its only $12 per person, but do go in early as it gets packed quickly.Dinner is good, same as lunch, come in early.Take out, the bento box is the true value deal as you get sushi, soup, rice, salad, tempura and main dish with stir fried veggies for $12, can easily shared by 2, the Chinese dish works very well too, the sesame beef is my favorite while I’d avoid black pepper beef as there’s more green peppers than anything.Service is decent and overall its on par as other ayce in Toronto like mason du Japan.
