I tried their chicken salad. It was possibly the smallest salad I have ever had at a shawarma place, and it was $10.55 after tax. The chicken on it was okay, though a little on the dry side. Most places offer toppings on the salad much like they do on sandwiches, but the only thing this place offered was garlic sauce. An over priced tiny portion of mediocre quality at best. I would not recommend.
Great Lebanese. This is some of Ottawa’s best Arabic food. I have been saying for years ARZ has the best beef shawarma in town. Their potatoes are also the best in Ottawa. Is ARZ the best in the city? No but they are second. One knock is the small size to price but if you are hungry in or near the St Laurent shopping center then there is no better place to go. Great food and occasionally there is a very kind, happy and smiley Nicaraguan man there to serve you. Proving that this business is run by extremely well balanced and culturally correct people. Great Canadians making great Lebanese!

This place is sooo good. Been eating there for years. This place is a hidden gem in Ottawa. You wouldn’t think a place in a food court would be anything more than standard, but ARZ is high quality food, generous portions at a fair price. I suggest the chicken platter loaded with everything, chicken, brown rice, roasted potatoes, hummus, garlic sauce, 3 kinda of salad (tabbouleh, fattoush and coleslaw? That one is new) and topped with onions, tomatoes, pickles, turnips, and fresh pita bread. It’s the works, overflowing with awesomeness. The garlic sauce is so strong and you will be sweating it out for a day, but totally worth it. No complaints about ARZ ever, go try it! Very good Lebanese cuisine.
