Food was okay. Service was slowBut when we told them we had to be at the NAC things were faster. As mentioned in other reviews the portions are very small considering they are sharing plates. I probably won’t go back.
We had tom yum soups, basil beef (pad bai gra prow) and cashew chicken (kai pad med mamuang). The soups were flavorless and a pale yellow color (unlike the rich red you would expect from a good tom yum), and filled with soggy canned mushrooms and three sad shrimp each. The meat dishes were made with essentially the same base, with small quantities of low-quality meat and a blend of sloppy overcooked vegetables in a vaguely east-asian flavoured cornstarchy sauce. This isn’t Thai food, and not worth the 70 dollars we paid for it. There are enough better Thai options in Ottawa that you shouldn’t have to do yourself the disservice of suffering through this slop.
Nice place for dinner! I went with a friend a few days ago and I enjoyed my experience. Service was a little slow at first but very polite and with a smile. We ordered 2 dishes to share with some steamed rice. The dishes are communal so no individual portions but it means you get to try more items. We shared a green curry with beef and lime leaf as well as a chicken dish with eggplant and basil. The first dish was fantastic. Fragrant, slightly spicy and rich. I likes the second dish as well but it was just a touch too spicy for me. I was impressed with the flavour but not with the price considering the portions are not huge. Overall, a pretty solid experience.
