This review is only for the lunch thali; no comments on the sweet shop part since I haven’t partaken. In one word: Mediocre. The serving size is more than sufficient but the curries taste bland (maybe corn flour to thicken the sauce/gravy?). Even butter chicken tasted flat and that’s a standard in any Ontario Desi restaurant!Sign outside states a lower price for the set lunch (thali) than what is on offer inside. The young man in the counter was grumpy and borderline rude so not sure of a repeat visit. Finally there is a photo of Stephen Harper visiting this place- only someone as clueless as Harper could have ‘enjoyed’ this hash of an Indian meal!
Not the best butter chicken in the city, but it’s not bad. They are very generous with the portions. Although the butter chicken is the only menu I’ve tried, I’ve been advised it’s probably the only one worth getting. Curious to try the mango lassi to see if it’s any good though, so would revisit.
