Food seemed like it had been cooked ahead of time, frozen, then microwaved. How else can they get it to you in 15mins? It was all extremely soggy and over sauced… Hardly any meat in their meat and veg dishes. Our order cost us $68 and we barely ate any of it…
Soup and eggrolls. They are our go to place when we have a cold coming on.My wife and I have hot and sour and won ton soups along with a dozen eggrolls and we sleep like babies.Thats all we have ever got and it is the first stop before going to get cold medication at the Shoppers across the way.Good healing food.

Very reasonable prices, will let you make combo substitutions, not STINGY on the portions, and they deliver to Ottawa South! Better then the Chinese Food places here in Ottawa South and Even in Barhaven. Highly recommended, especially if you are in Ottawa South! Their peanut dumplings and general tao’s along with their spicy garlic dishes are very good. I have tried every single place in Barhaven and this place is the one I keep going back to! They also deliver FASTER then the places 5 minutes away! ha Other places are slow, food sucks, and they rip me off for delivery!
Frequent Customer. Great food. I have found it always ready 15 minutes after ordering. Never had a poor meal. Found single item orders a little large, and would prefer availability of half orders so I could include more choices. I recommend it.
I am deeply saddend.. The food they are offering is NOT the same as it used to be 5-6 years ago. The food is soggy, cold in some spots, the chicken in their Lemon and GT was not cut into suitable sizes as it once was. The plum sauce for your egg rolls was so old that it was solidifying and needed to be stirred before eating (the eggrolls seemed more than flash fried.. meaning fried twice.. then left overnight and fried a third time)… Also the rice was so old it reminded me of microwave rice leftovers, the chicken in my GTC Barely had any sauce and also seemed microwaved parts of chicken bare..). The only thing worth eating looked like the fortune cookie and I SWEAR TO GOD it was STALE X 2 (both cookies packages were popped..)! The worst part is I have been going here since they opened like 10 – 12 years ago and made 300++ orders.I had no idea where to begin. Literally made me so sad how bad the place keeps getting. This is regarding the LUCKY CHOW on McCARTHY. So long old friend!
Yuck!. Sorry to burst your bubble… but not worth the money. This place, along with Hong Kong Take out, are very close to our home. Being that we usually deal with H.K we thought we might try something new… mistake. The food at Lucky Chow was soggy and the egg rolls are like a bunch or mashed pork and that is all. Bland. Tasted like they came out of a freezer, Additionally, the broccoli in our mixed veggies tasted like it had been burned in the wok. When you spend the money on take-out you hope you’re getting what you paid for, and with this establishment – we did not. If you’re in the Hunt Club area, Hong Kong is your better bet on decent Chinese food.
Never again. Ordered from here for years.Made a small order, called 3 times, one hour and twenty minutes for delivery.No apology only excuses.This is not acceptable. Who do they think they are the 2012 Chinese badminton team?
