Always a good time here, great friends and staff, just wish every time a new site opens they check the address, as this Restaurant /Pub is NOT in Vanier, it’s actually in Gloucester which is now Ottawa along with all the other mentioned restaurants on this page.
Great food. Great Food – Fish & Chips is amazing. Karokee, Live bands with no cover charge, Open Stage on Tuesdays, Wing night Wednesdays, and free pool on Wednesdays and Sundays. Always something happening!!!!
Gotta have the Newfie Nachos. We’re visiting family in Ottawa, and my wife and I drove past here and decided to stop on a whim. we had the Newfie nachos to start, and they were fantastic. my wife had the fish burger, and really enjoyed it, and I had the Fisherman’s platter. the platter was good. there was nothing out of the ordinary about the shrimp or scallops, but the cod was fantastic. I don’t know what they put in their signature batter, but it really makes it an outstanding place to get fish and chips. will definitely recommend to friends and family.
TERRIFIC FOOD AND THE BEST KARAOKE IN OTTAWA. You can pretty much pick anything on the menu and you won’t be disappointed – the food is very good here. Live entertainment between Thursday thru Sunday, featuring the best karaoke in Ottawa – awesome sound. Highly recommended.
Lunch fare. I had the English style fish and chips. The batter was lightly seasoned and not too heavy. The atmosphere was reminiscent of Newfoundland and the waitress/bartender was friendly and courteous.
Yeah, not known for decor or Newfie originality or authenticity but their fish and chips are hard to beat either the haddock or cod, so far my favorite in Ottawa.
Nothing about Newfoundland except a bit of the decorations. No Newfoundland beers or food.
