My last visit will be my LAST! Came here with the same expectations as I had for the Chinatown location. I was seriously disappointed. Portions tiny, service terrible and everything over priced. I love the spring rolls deep fried made with rice paper but mine came out dripping in grease and when I bit into it the grease trailed down my chin. It was off putting to say the least. The pho soup size and portion was sad. My medium equally a small with very little noodles and ingredients. I can say the only good thing is that this place is never busy so you can get a seat fast. Don’t expect attentive service though.
Absolutely avoid this place.I went with a friend today and our orders were 1 large beef and tendon Pho and one grilled pork w/ spring rolls rice plate. The Pho, despite being a large, only had 4 slices of beef, and the tendons were possibly the cheapest cuts available in the cow. It can honestly barely be called tendons. The rice noodles came in several small clumps, which to me indicates that they had been sitting in the fridge/freezer for god knows how long before being reheated. The grilled pork with rice was even worse. For 11$, you get a literally paper thin piece of pork, some lettuce ends, a cucumber, and some pickled carrot along with two small spring rolls. The rice was absolutely horrendous. I could hardly believe that when my fork touched the rice it actually made a scraping sound. The rice had obviously been sitting in the fridge for days before being microwaved seeing as how it was so unbearably dry and hard. It felt like I was chewing plastic. Service was pretty bad as well, but that hardly matters compared to the dreadful food.Honestly, this is probably the only review I will ever write. I’m usually not too fussy about food but we really felt robbed this time. They took our money (over 30$ total), and gave us plates of old food that most restaurants would throw out rather than risk serving. I don’t know if the fact that I felt ill later in the day had anything to do with the food, but I wouldn’t be surprised.Again, AVOID THIS PLACE.
Used to love the pork chops and other pick of grilled protein with rice. Super tasty and affordable. Last few times the pork chop was not possible as a choice. Quality went down somewhat. But soups are good and spring rolls too. But do try the rice and protein dishes.
The pad thai was very disappointing, it was extremely oily, had very little flavor other than the oily taste. I also ordered the shrimp wontons and Vietnamese spring rolls which were at best ok. I’ve had much better Vietnamese food in the city and don’t recommend this restaurant.
I love good Vietnamese food, so I tried going here with 2 people for lunch once. I say tried. We sat down, looked at the menu quickly, and ordered. Nothing complicated, I think we all got vermicelli with grilled meat and a spring roll. We sat there for over 30 minutes, and our food never came. About 4 tables who had come in after us had their food, and one of them already had their bill and were leaving. We asked where our food was, and they said it was on it’s way out. We waited another 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, we asked again, and were told the same thing. We then watched 2 guys go into the back, and come back out twice, with food for other tables and nothing for us. Then one guy came out and just stood at the cash.We just got up and left. I went somewhere else and got something quick to go so I could get back to work. Never going back there again, I couldn’t even get the food I ordered.
Poor value and service. As a restaurant owner this place is lacking on many fronts. Portion sizes are small. I would estimate 2oz chicken in the chicken, basil and cashew dish I ordered $12.25. Service lacks experience, simple essentials like asking guests how there meal is doesn’t seem important. Server doesn’t prioritize well and would rather clear a table in a quarter full restaurant before taking care of guests.
Not a fan of the service. The food was average. I personally would go to the pho place in hunt club and bank in the same plaza as the Harvey’s. It seemed the employees here were more interested on their phones then serving customers. 3/10 service7/10 quality
