Improper plating. The food is ok, but the biggest complaint I have with them is that they insist on putting cold food on hot plates. A couple of years ago, I ordered a salad and it came with the bottom layer completely wilted and hot, the caesar dressing hot – it was disgusting and I sent it back, my appetite lost. The waitress at that time was annoyed with me.Last week, I ordered pecan pie with cream and ice cream. It also came with a strawberry – very good pie, but again the chilled food came on a very hot plate and the cream and ice cream were melted and the strawberry was hot. I couldn’t eat it. Also, they frequently get our orders wrong – eggs nearly raw instead of over medium, white toast instead of brown, sausages not quite done – all kinds of little errors like this that just prevent the enjoyment of the meal. My bacon was limp the other day – they offered to re-cook it, but by that time, we were halfay through the meal.Also, the new menus are out and the prices have gone up with the quality not matching the rise in price. If they get it right when one orders, the meal can be excellent. However they just get it wrong so often, and the food is ruined by improper plating that I just don’t want to return.
