This place is situated under an apartment building so it seems a little sketchy but the interior is actually quite cute. The menu consists of mostly chicken (fried or stewed), goat, fish, and beef (stewed) with sides of rice, salad, or fries. Of course their specialty would be samosas, they have many different varieties that come either fried or baked. I ordered the spicy chicken with fries which came very quickly. They use the same frozen fries you can buy from Costco and they give you packets of ketchup so you know it’s not a high end place, but it’s cheap, fast, and hits the spot. The chicken was actually decent but I likely wouldn’t come again unless I was hungover and in the area. 18carrotgold.com

The food, the service, wow!. Purchased the chicken wrap platter, the sauce used on the chicken wrap was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy.Sambuzas are amazing. very fresh, light and full of flavor. The meal also came with French fries that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Service was exceptional, staff is very approachable and friendly. Don’t shy away from this restaurant, one of the best in the Alta Vista/South Keys area.
Great food. The place is run by a good brother and his family. He treats his guests well. We were a couple and we had an excellent time. Food is amazing. Private places to sit and pray also. Make sure to try the chicken breast and rice.
No fancy fuss just fab food…. A great little family restaurant, the food was amazing.. All the flavors of the Horn of Africa authentically prepared, I came for the sambuza- which is incredible – and returned several times for the great staff and the quality ingredients, and the generosity. Well done keep it up!!!!
