Our first trip to the Town Fryer. Today was a great day of firsts at the Town Fryer. First, it was our first time there, and first time getting such a huge portion of fries (we ordered a small that turned out bigger than any other chip wagon’s large).It was also the first time I ever tried deep fried pickles (they were delicious) and it was also the first time I ever saw them on a food truck menu (though in all fairness I may just not have noticed before).It was also the first time that a food truck offered some cheese for my dog as a surprise bonus gift which he (and I) appreciated very much.It was such a great experience that we plan to go back in two days to experience it all over again…though it will no longer be a bunch of firsts…and that’s totally okay with me.
A half decent poutine but the owner seems to care about his products and his clients so that boosts the experience. Had the philly. The fries could have been cooked longer and the sauce could have been more flavourful. Would return to try the regular to judge better.
Truly Ottawa’s Best Poutine. I have tried many places and have not been as pleased as I am with the Poutine they serve here. It’s nice to finally find a place with consitency. The small sized poutine is huge, and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger while maintaining a very fair price. Lots of cheese and lots of gravy – It’s a truly great addition to Little Italy and I eat there quite often. The truck owner just had a brand new fryer installed so the food tastes its best every single time. I recommend this to everyone who has a passion for poutine or who has never tried it before. it represents our city well and you surely won’t be dissapointed!
