My wife is a chef and I used to be. We had a great night at Bercs. It’s an expensive place but we defiantly got great food. Shrimp cocktail and seared scallops to start, both delicious (it’s hard to find a place that knows how to cook scallops properly) We had black cod and top sirloin as Our mains. Everything was cooked to perfection. Desert was the bailey’s creme brulee, it was delicious if just slightly scrambled (I ate the whole darn thing and I’m sure no one else would have noticed)All in all our server Heather made sure our one night out was just excellent. Thanks.
Valentines day. Went there with friends last night, wasn’t our first time there, the food was good, mind you a New York steak is pretty hard to mistake. The a la carte valentine menu started at $49 and went up to $79. Typically the $79 is around a $30 meal. The service was very sub par, our server got upset with a comment, not at all about her, my friend was asking his wife what she ordered. Waited on water refill and other drinks for 20 mins. Our reservation was at 9:30 so it wasn’t busy. So in total $350 plus tax for four people dinner. I’d recommend it anytime away from a holiday, if you’re like us and like to support local business.
Considering the price it was disappointing. The steak was good but the mushrooms were unimpressive, and the Caesar salad seemed like it was from a bag and bottle. Service was ok.
Nothing great. We started out with the potato skins and cheddar puffs potato skins were a bit dry and really thin they could have left more potato on them the puffs were really different and a nice change for a starter We ordered the 10oz rib-eye it was cooked perfect not a lot of gristle and was nice and tender my only complaint is that it was a thin steak and not worth the money I have been to many great steak houses and 95% of all them have thick steaks 1-1/4 inches or thicker mine and my wife’s was at the most a bit over 1/2 inch thick was really disappointed in that especially for the price ($28.00) vegetables were great as was the mushrooms and i had the roasted potatoes they were a bit over cooked and really dry Desert we had the cheery cheese cake puffs ? they were again different but could have used a bit more cheese cake filling Our server David was hardly seen except when bringing our food or removing our plated would have been nice if he checked in a few more times other then that place was good for this area and at best on par with the Keg nothing amazing I would rather eat at the keg for the price it is a better place
New Years Dinner. It was the first time visiting Berc’s and I got to say it was GREAT the food was amazing the service was good.
Great for Lunch. Berc’s has a great lunch menu and pricing. It isn’t what I consider a great evening steakhouse; but the lunch is a great value.Cheers
Good Food BUT….. We had a very nice family dinner at Bercs on June 15. Only real issue my wife ordered her steak medium well. It came out dripping in blood. It was sent back to be cooked more to still come out completely pink. No follow on how it was by the staff or anything. We have been there before and there was literally dirt in the salad. They need to handle the little things and learn how to cook a steak properly
