Best lunch special in town. Rivalled only by la hacienda and maybe the favourite Greek. The soup with the lunch special makes me drool just write this review and it’s been months since I was at that restaurant. Soup, salad, chicken/beef curry with lemon rice for $10 after tax?? I’d go here every day it I could. Really nice people and good customer service. Also call them to ask about their all you can eat nights with live entertainment! Seems to happen about once a month.

Curry with a side of Jazz . . .. If you want great, authentic Indian cuisine, then Curry Village is the place for you. But . . . if you are going, make sure that you go while the Donna Collison Blues Quartet is playing. They appear once a month on a Saturday night (6-9 pm) and the atmosphere when they play is fantastic. The band is composed of classically trained musicians you would never expect to encounter in a small Indian restaurant in Peterborough. Members of the band have played on the Tonight Show, Sesame Street, with legends like Buddy Rich, and also with some key Canadian symphonies. The result is fantastic jazz that pairs incredibly well with the delicious dishes offered up at Curry Village. The band plays to the crowd and occasionally brings up other talented local musicians for surprise performances. Upcoming Jazz nights:Saturday, May 31 (2014)Saturday, June 14 (2014)Go for the jazz, stay for the best vegetable samosas and vindaloo this side of the Taj Mahal! Highly recommended.
