Great authentic Mexican right in the Cafe District of Peterborough. This restaurant can do no wrong in my eyes. Everything is made in house and I have always loved everything I have tried, although most are from the small dishes part of the menu. These are always enough to fill me. And obviously guacamole and chips as an appetizer is a must!
A great place for Mexican food. I’ve been here multiple times, just been back after 4 years away and have never been disappointed. Service is great, the food is better. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Peterborough. I’ve tried about half of the items on the menu and everything was excellent and they have a good selection of Mexican beer. Can’t wait to go back again.
Lunch special is one of the best deals in town. Everything else is a tad overpriced but the quality is very good. I’m a regular and I’ll continue to be until moving away. Just wish there were daily specials because the $ is on par with major urban centres like Toronto and Montreal.
We were looking for a patio to have lunch and a drink. We decided to go to La Hacienda. I’d never been there before. I got the quesadilla with pork, and a cuba libre. It came with refried beans with feta, and pico de gallo. It was amazing. I’ve never had mexican food that was so authentic. It seemed like high quality food. At first, looking at the menu the prices seemed high, but after eating the meal it was so worth it. I’m looking forward to going again.
Would go back. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican, they’ve got it. I had the sopes with house salad. Reasonably fast and pleasant service. Not the best bang for your buck, but still worth it
Great food super slow service. Love this place and have been several times BUT my husband and I decided if were craving Hacienda well get it to go. We don’t mind waiting a long time for our meal to come but while waiting that long it would be nice to be asked on occasion if we would like another drink. Seriously don’t these places make serious money on the bar? They have a perfect opportunity to cash in on the bar drinks considering how long you wait. The last two times that we went e internally had to walk up to the bar and ask our waitress for more beers. So as long as you plan on spending your night out just at this place your good to go,,,,,,,
