Went for dinner on good friday, the food was amazing. Really fresh quality sashimi and the owner was super nice! Definately going back.
I have had sushi in top notch restaurants and this is up there especially for the price point. The tempura is some of the best i have ever had. Nigiri / sashimi is good, and atmosphere is cozy. Surprised to find this in Peterborough.
Peterborough’s best kept secret. |You’ve had not had sushi until you have had it from Matsu Sushi on Park Street!His dishes are similar to Hunter Street Matsu with a difference; they are made with love and so have a certain magic to to them. Seriously, you have to try it to believe it. Certainly the best in town.

Must go-to restaurant! Great service – quick and hospitable environment. Some of the best sushi I have had in years with so many options to choose from (especially for vegetarians) and very underpriced for its quality. Afterwards the chef came personally to ask us how it was!
Wonderful!. From the time that you walk in and are greeted like long lost family until the time you leave and everyone says goodbye, the whole experience is amazing. Have been to this restaurant more times than I can count and have never been disappointed with the food. One of our favourites is the wakame salad, also the caterpillar and rainbow maki. Would recommend this to anyone, as there are plenty of menu items that don’t include raw fish (which so many people think is the only thing in a sushi restaurant), I have brought my husband there who found food he liked and he is the pickiest eater I’ve ever known. Keep up the great work Matsu!
Simply The Best. Mr Matsu and his staff are amazing people,the welcome which is now over 10 visits has always been one of a true honest Korean welcome. You always feel like your a somebody or a member of a huge family. The food is unbelievable. If its your birthday a special treat is yours to enjoy and a picture of you is taken and added to his many family albums that you can look back on any time you come in…….Love going there with my family and now their little family’s our grand children, and our friends..Recommend to everyone…..The Stones
