Has something changed??. Recently I’ve had 2 very bad experiences with Matsu sushi, which I found unusual as in the past it has always been great quality food and service. 1. A friend and I ordered delivery, the delivery guy did not knock/ring the doorbell but rather WALKED INTO THE HOUSE, we only heard him because the dog began freaking out. Not sure how long he was there for but when he left my friend could not find his wallet anywhere, paired with the fact that leading up to where the wallet was sitting were muddy footprints on the clean floor. When we called to let them know that their delivery guy walked into the house without knocking and a wallet was now missing, my friend was yelled at by the staff being told that their delivery guys would never walk in the house, and would most certainly not steal a wallet. The delivery guy then got on the phone screamed at us and hung up.2. I ordered delivery with a co-worker, we were told it would be about 30 minutes. They told us it would come to about $38.00, which is normal (we order about once per week from there, getting the same thing and it usually costs us about $30 – this time I ordered a Salmon Rose). They then called us twice to confirm the order. When the order arrive over an hour and 15 minutes later, they had messed up the order and given us sushi instead of the salmon roses (after calling us back twice to confirm it!) and the rest of the order looked awful, the quality was below poor. The california rolls looked like they had come from a Chinese Restaurant’s buffet. The delivery driver then told us the order was going to cost $60, we told her that was not correct, and the order was wrong. She then took the ENTIRE order back to the restaurant, instead of leaving the part of the order that was right. When we called Matsu’s after she left they were not willing to do a single thing to amend the situation.I love sushi and this was one of my favorite places in town, but unfortunately these 2 incidents have seriously impacted my opinion on them. I will not be dining here for quite a while! I am wondering if there has been a shift in the way it is run/shifting of jobs/roles etc, but either way it seriously impacting the business!
Great quality. Consistently excellent quality sushi.Have not tried many of their other entrees so cannot comment.
By far the best atmosphere and sushi in town!!! Fresh and wonderful With a family of three boyd who love sushi we can’t go here often but it’s my first choice to go with friends !!
Favourite restaurant in Peterborough. Matsu Sushi is wonderful – I go there frequently with family and friends. The Ottawa Maki is amazing, and good for those who are new to eating sushi. I always try something new when I go, and always enjoy it. The staff are so friendly, and the owner is a wonderful man who always greets guests affectionately. 🙂
Food is delicious, atmosphere is great, and the service is awesome. When they’re really busy they can be a bit slow. Go there on your birthday!

Great service, great atmosphere, great food!. I’ll say it: yes, the prices are a little high. HOWEVER, when you get such wonderful service, amazing food, and a nice atmosphere, it’s more than worth it. One of the friendliest restaurants in Peterborough by far!
