Good but too expensive. First one must understand that most if not all ethnic food is serve plentiful and cheap. Expensive dining is a northern European/North American concept. Greek food is no exception, except here. When you prepare a souvlaki, you don’t use the best most expensive cut of meat, this is not kobe pork (yes I know there is not such a thing) on a stick. The marinade used will soften the tougher meat, with the added fat coming off in the grilling adding flavor. Very tasty, but not expensive. As such the price here is not justified at all.Their greek salad is good, but over prices. The lamb souvlaki dinner is very nice, however over price. A small amount of lamb on a stick, on a bed of rice (cheap) with a few lemon potatoes (cheap again) is simply not worth the price they are asking. There is too little tzatziki sauce served in a small plastic cup, too small to even dip in. It is also lacking in flavor, ok, but nothing special. The baklava is very good, but you guessed it.. Costs too much. This food would be on the lower mid end of the scale on the Danforth, with the price being off the scale.IF you really have a craving for Greek food, this is about your only option and you have to pay the price. I do laugh at the snobs in the place that seem to be there only because its expensive. The joke is on them as anyone who knows food knows Greek isn’t overpriced fine dining, and they are only fooling themselves.
