Great prices and even better food.. HUGE portions, Cheap prices. Not sure what is my fave there. French Onion soup is amazing. A real traditional caesar salad. Pizza is great!! They have a special spegetti sause they make daily (look for the big pot in the kitchen when you walk in) and it is amazing. Panzorotti is enough for two and comes over stuffed with fresh ingredients, I recommend getting chicken in it. Staff is very welcoming and the owner is incredible. I had a health condition last year where I had to watch what I ate and the owner went out of his way to cook my dinner himself to make sure it was right. Can’t wait to go back!!
Myself, husband and two other ladies visited the new original spaghetti house in Lakefield on December 31, 2014.We all had chicken parmesan with spaghetti except my husband, he had lasagna. The spaghetti and lasagna were too spicy, so much that we couldn’t eat the meals. We waited for over a half an hour for our bill and the waiter to show up. Finally, one of the ladies walked over to the kitchen and asked the cook if we could please have our bill. The chef started looking all over for the waiter, even outside, then all of a sudden he appeared from the corner of the restaurant and we asked him if he had been sleeping, he said that he had been in his little office. We paid our bill and tip (which we should have never given) and left. We will not be going back to the restaurant again in the near future. We actually shouldn’t have paid for our bills. (No one else was in the restaurant).Gayle and friendsp.s. The waiter told us the restaurant was owned by the Original Spaghetti House in Peterborough.
STAY AWAY !This place smells like body odour. Very basic dishes and they do not taste good.18 Oct, 2013I was there for thanksgiving Monday picking up an order for take out. I had to wait far too long for my order. While I was waiting I witnessed the chef/owner belittle a server that was already very busy in front of all the customers. The situation was very uncomfortable and I felt sorry for the poor server. The food was ok. I won’t be back for all those reasons.
We were here on Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time. Right near us, the waitress had plied a bunch of dirty dishes on a table, that was left there the entire time we were eating. It was not like she didn’t have time to remove them….we were the only table she had to serve! We ordered Fettuccine alfredo, a greek salad, garlic bread and a ceaser salad that came with the pasta. The pasta tasted o.k, but it was swimming in a thin sauce…not what fettuccine alfredo should be like. The greek salad we didn’t eat and actually had taken off the bill because the dressing was awful! The ceaser salad had croutons that tasted stale and even smelled funny. Years ago when this restaurant was located on Clonsilla, they were really good. Now it is disgusting, the place is dirty, and the food is not fresh. Don’t waste your money! If you want decent pasta and pizza, go to the Pizza Factory at Lansdowne and Parkway. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Very Very Disappointed. Party of 3. Two of us ordered 1/2 of chicken dinner. Waitress came back to request that we reselect as they were out of chicken(this was lunch) I ordered the veal cutlet the other person ordered the ribs. There was no air conditioning. The cutlet was awful. The person who ordered the ribs left half of the meal. It was one of the worst dining experience that I have had, especially the food. Service was also bad. Will never go near this place or any of its locations. Will be very surprised if they survive
Disappointing. I ordered delivery from this particular restaurant. The Haddock and Fries were soggy and tasteless, and the French Onion Soup had a piece of broken plastic in it! Would not recommend either dish, or this restaurant.
Lakefield Outlet food was awful. We had dinner at the restaurant on George Street and the caesar salad was the best I have ever had and the pizza was great too. I decided to go to Lakefield and order two veal on a bun for our lunch to take out. When I got home and opened the box there was plain garlic bread with fossilized veal cooked so much it was like rocks. Needless to say the veal went in the garbage and we ate the garlic bread with spagetti at dinner. What a way to throw away over $15.00. Should have stayed home. Will never go back to Lakefield. You need a better training for your cook!
