Love The 50’s Diner Style. Service is just ok at times but some foods are very good. In particular I love their hamburgers, club sandwiches and the fries. They even have a small delivery area.
Wimpys has the best poutine. The staff is great and I can always count on great service. Thank you Wimpys for always being there with my hollandaise sauce too.
Peterborough’s best kept secret. I am frequent visitor to Peterborough and have stumbled onto this gem of a joint. Operated by an Italian (Sicilian) family with a standard menu is what is seen from the outside looking in. Once inside you are jettisoned back in time where ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ‘compliments to the cook’ can often be heard, and the menu items are transformed into a special fare of home-made goodness. The staff: Well, there are insufficient words to describe how they have made me feel. My first visit (breakfast) was great; the food cooked just the way i asked and my coffee: always full. On my second visit they remembered little nuances from my first visit (brown bread; milk not cream for my coffee). Love wimpys! Best place to go after a golf game or the morning after a bug party. They’re chicken clubs ad onion rings are awesome 🙂
Absolutely terrible! How can you go so wrong with breakfast?? Cook didnt know the menu and screwed up every order he made and the waitress was in a fog and didnt take orders correctly. This place is a joke and I will never return!!
I’ve come to Wimpy’s countless times and have never had any major issues with the food! The service is sometimes hit and miss, but I vary my tipping at the end of the meal to reflect that. It’s good food at a (mostly) reasonable price. Recommended of you’re looking for a quick meal in a casual atmosphere.
Poops ahoy. Had one of their breakfasts and the eggs were undercooked. I had a case of atomic diarrhea after that. I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for some Tums today.
