I was in the area and decided to have some wings here as their offer was good. Half price on starters and wings is not a bad deal. But that day it turned out not so well for me. The potato skins with bacon and cheese that I ordered tasted kind of funny… probably the oil used was stale or old or reused or something. Infact the fries with the wings tasted much better. Nothing wrong with the wings but not that great too. A so so ok kind of experience. Maybe next time will try something else and hope to have a better experience.

I had a delicious lunch here today. My server recommended the Buffalo Chicken ($10) wrap and she did not steer me wrong! It was an excellent blend of chicken, cheese, crispy lettuce and tasty buffalo sauce wrapped up in a grilled tortilla. The fries were standard pub fare and the gravy was hot and brown. That’s how I describe that chip truck gravy – so good! I would eat here again.

2016/11/06We were out and about, passing through Pickering on Sunday at dinner time. We spotted Irish Times along the way, and decided to stop in for a pint and a bite. Nice looking pub, but it was mostly empty at 6 pm, except for a few people at the bar. We tucked ourselves into a nook away for the bar and I had to wave a bit to get the server’s attention. For SWMBO it was Guinness and Fish & Chips, one of her favourite pub combos. The food was good and reasonable. I started with a pint of cider, but I don’t think it was as fresh as it could have been. It had a bit of a vinegary edge to it. For my meal I chose the Steak & Guinness Pie. Tender pieces of steak in a gravy that was a bit salty. It was topped with a light, flakey puff pastry. At the servers suggestion I dumped my side of peas into the dish, which partly offset the saltiness of the sauce. So on average, it was an average meal.

Horrible! The server took our order, never entered it and just left. We sat there for a half hour thinking we had food coming only to find out the rest of the staff didn’t even know we existed! Don’t waste your money!!!

Came here bc other review said Onion Rings were great, but we were disappointed. Probably not coming back.
