My last experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Lack of customer service. Quality of food is not what it use to be. Not going back or referring anyone to this restaurant.

Both the food and service was really good. The naan bread was really good, the rice was a bit bland, the chicken was very tasty. Overall my experience was nice. I really like the atmosphere. I may return again.

I’ve tried many other Kabab restaurants and feel its quite difficult to beat Bamiyan Kabob. Yet lately, I’ve been tired of the same flavours and decided to check out The Kabab Shoppe which recently opened in Pickering.Atmosphere:A nice vibe, great environment and clean! While we visited, there wasn’t anyone at the front desk so remember to ring the bell. I saw a few people just stand there for a while before realizing they should ring the bell.Food:We ordered the Shahi Kabob which comes with one Tandoori Skewer and one skewer of shish kabob, rice, salad and naan. This was enough for my partner and I (we even had leftover rice). Portion sizes are huge. The Tandoori chicken was nicely marinated and I found it had more flavour than Bamiyan Kabobs tandoori chicken. The shish kabob was yummy as well. They’ve got a great side salad to balance the meal. The rice could be a bit less oily but it wasn’t way too oily like other Kabob places I’ve tried out.Verdict:Definitely will return! I would recommend this restaurant to those that want a change from Bamiyan Kabob. It’s got great flavours, great menu and I doubt you’d be disappointed.
