High Cost Low Value. Ate at the Fox on the Run for the first time yesterday. I took my wife and 2yr old daughter out for lunch. For three sandwiches, an iced tea and two orange juices it was over thirty dollars. My wife is pregnant and asked the young lady behind the counter if the deli meat in her sandwich could be heated up to steaming. Yes, no problem she said. It was warmed but still cold in the middle. The sandwiches were not very big. They were kind of bland. They certainly didn’t wow me. For thirty bucks you can walk next door to Pita Pit and leave full and satisfied. It was a nice cafe. Cozy, with big book filled shelves. Lots of wood.Just terrible value.
New spot on brodie. Tried it twice. the wrap i had the first week was very bland. this week i tried an egg salad sandwich. the egg mixture was okay but the marble bread felt and tasted old. and the prices are too high especially when there are several new restaurants open and opening soon and some of their prices are lower for the same menu. the coffee was good!
Great Food. This place knows how to make soups and sandwiches, but my favorite is the wraps and the baking!! So delicious and the amazing hot chocolates and coffees. My nephew and wife went for lunch with my wife and myself, and said they had never been there before but now would definitely return, the food was so good!Keep up the great work!!
The Fox on the Run used to be one of the best eateries in town. Sadly, the restaurant needs upkeep: dirty and rundown. The food is usually good, but the unkind service has convinced me to no longer return. Throughout my last visit, I was met with a disinterested staff member who was more concerned with getting off work than serving any customers. I sat at the booth closest to the counter and heard her tell 4 different people that her oven was turned off and there was no soup (this was at 630pm). A number of customers just left because 50% of the menu was unavailable. I brought my work there to have dinner and drink coffee and I could not finish my coffee fast enough.
High prices, but great food. If you want to treat yourself or someone else, this is a good place to get food from. The prices are on the high side, but everything is well-made with fresh ingredients and is always high quality. The soups change often and I’ve never had one I wouln’t order again, and the sandwiches and wraps etc are all delicious. If you don’t mind paying a little more for quality and generous portions, you’re getting what you pay for: really good food.
