The food is home made and delicious. The flavors are top notch, Borscht is a 9/10 only b/c it is a bit salty to my taste, the perogies are 10/10 and I highly recommend the crepe if you are up for a rich and savory treat! The waiter is such an honest, genuine caring individual it makes it that much more enjoyable to dine in, but don’t take my word for it, go give it a try. 😀
This is by far THE best cabbage rolls/borscht/perogies/polish sausage I have EVER had! Service was fast, waiter was super polite and kind and conscientious. I was just passing through the city but I have to say, this is my new meal spot whenever I go through Thunder Bay!!

Fast, Friendly, DELICIOUS. Every time I go there I am absolutely amazed. This place easily became my favourite restaurant and prior to that I had the same favourite restaurant for the last 10 years or so.- Amazing tasting food- Fresh- Comfortable atmosphere- Friendly staff- Great prices- Food comes out fastAs someone mentioned before, the menu is made up of combo meals already, however, they are very accommodating and will alter the combo if you need to – just have to ask!
Very good Polish cuisine. Started with the borscht soup and it was fantastic. Strings of beets with celery and a scoop of sour cream optional. Very very good. Disappointed menu items were already combo and they should consider each item separately so customers can create their own combo plates. Sausage was good and the cabbage rolls were just as delicious . Wasn’t a fan of the meat perogies.
The best borsch. The Polish Bistro has wonderful home made food, and fantastic borsch (the best I have ever tasted). The portions are very generous and the prices are extremely reasonable. It is a nice, very clean restaurant run by a friendly husband and wife team. I would highly recommend it.
