Overpriced, Inauthentic. A reasonable attempt at filling the gastropub void in Thunder Bay, but they’ve made two critical errors: the food just isn’t good enough to be worth the crazy markup, and the obvious exploitation of nice decor fails to emulate the charm of what this place is supposed to be – a pub! Save your money and walk a few seconds down the street to their competitor for cheaper,(and way better) food with insane beer selection. 5/10, a real ripoff for the cost.
The Truth about the Foundry. Im from Calgary in town visiting friends and we went bar hopping in downtown Port Arthur and the bouncer at the foundry hassled me for 20 minutes because I didn’t have a second piece of ID he threatened to beat me up if I didn’t leave and took my ID huge hassle and I’m now pursuing it legally because i want my drivers license this bald short old man clearly has napoleon syndrome a complete loser the whole foundry is a completely repulsive place to begin with with so many other fantastic options like the madhouse down the road go somewhere worth going.
Great service, great beer selection, great food. Personal favorite menu items include mac & cheese, nachos, and southwest chicken spring rolls! This place is also a thriving live music venue from classical music by local symphony musicians in the classic series, to bluegrass and jazz Thurs-Sat.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere!. I highly reccommend The Foundry for date nights or a night out with friends! The new menu is delicious, hitting both the light and savoury ends of the scale. The atmosphere is warm and ambient, and the service was great too!
FANTABULOUS. The service was wonderful and the food was so amazing that I have been craving their burger ever since I left there. I will be making it a regular lunch time spot. Cant wait to try the dinner menu.
Don’t bother going for lunch. The menu is very limited… So much so that we ordered drinks and then asked for our bill to go elsewhere. Maybe one day I’ll give dinner a go
Best Meal I have ever had. Had the rack of ribs and the Wrap, flavors in both were explosive! Head Chef made a apperance at our table! Very nice and friendly staff! Will defaintly go back, was worth the trip from Edmonton! Would recommend this restaurant to everyone i know! If your looking for flavor, quality, and a amazing night out, The Foundry is where it can be found!!!
