Surprisingly good food! We tried the fish and chips and a swordfish special which were both first rate. The fish and chips wasnt greasy and the fish was moist and flaky and NOT all batter. The swordfish was nicely cooked and presented with an apricot topping… not your typical pub fare, but excellent! Great ambiance too!

Great Place to eat and Stay. I came to port colborne for the weekend and found this gem of a place that had hotel suites and a wonderful restaurant as well. The rooms are huge and very comfortable they have a full kitchen queen beds and great view of the canal.I went down to the restaurant and the menu was fantastic they have a wide variety to choose from and also offer gluten free and vegetarian options for all their meals.Very well priced for the amount of food you get.The service was excellent the server was very attentive and new the menu very well and had offered some great choices for me to try. They also have a wonderful kitchen store as well with a lot of unique items in it. I highly recommend that people go here they will be very happy.

Service sucked. Took my Mother inlaw there for her birthday on 07/27/14, around 2pm. Including us there was only 4 tables inside and 4 outside and 2 waitresses, waited 10 min just to get menus, another 10 to order, maybe 20 minutes to get food which wasn’t bad. After getting the food waitresses never came back to table, asked for extra napkins and never got them, husband wanted another beer and didnt get one till we were done our meal. Food was good, but because of the terrible service will not be returning. Instead of investing in all the advertising on the radio, invest in a couple more waitresses.

All around …not impressed. We had a couple relatives come to town and we heard rave reviews about this place so we took them for dinner on Tues. July 17th, 2012. We arrived at 5:10pm and didn’t receive our dinner until 6:50pm. We didn’t prolong ordering or anything…we ordered the crab cakes and pot stickers for appetizers and the I don’t even know if there was crab in it…it tasted like someone popped the lid off the curry bottle and dumped the whole thing in…it was absolutely awful but we were starving and for the price for 2 of them all four of us split them and drank a half a beer to wash them down. I asked for a glass of water to wash the taste down…40 minutes later I asked if she forgot my water…she said no it’s coming. We waited 40 minutes after the appetizers for our entrees and only 2 came out then the other two ten minutes later. That was also very upsetting…do you go ahead and eat in front of your guests or do you patiently wait for dinner to arrive then have to eat yours cold? The asiago chicken were very tiny and very overcooked…and the grilled cauliflower was burnt. Good thing we don’t just a meal by the appealing colours on the plate. Cream coloured cauliflower…creamy mashed potatoes and creamy asiago on a grilled chicken breast. I never imagined being this disappointed in a restaurant that talks about their food daily on the radio.Very upset!

Bad Service. We were on the pay no mind list it seemed…No one told us the specials, even though they were telling all the tables around us…took drink order from couple that arrived 5 minutes after us and served them before taking ours. I just had fish and chips so what can I say about the food, but some of those specials sure sounded good. Oh and no one brought over the giant pepper mill for us either
