Very Fancy Place!. We came here as we were hoping to host our wedding here. When we walked in, we were kindly greeted by Paul at the front of the restaurant. The restaurant was an open-concept, facing the lobby of the hotel. We had to take off our coats as soon as walked in considering the restaurant was on the fancy side. The only downfall was that the restaurant was very cold and it would have been much better if we were able to keep our coats on. When we sat down, we were given menus and asked what we wanted to drink; we both settled on water. Within a few minutes, we were given complementary bread with olive oil and vinegar for dipping. The bread was very good, especially the small bread muffins, they were delicious! We wanted to try a few different dishes in the hopes that they would be dishes we could serve at our wedding. We ordered the fried calamari, lamb, chicken, and shrimp risotto. We asked if they could bring each plate separately as we wanted to try them individually. The fried calamari were brought out first. There were small pieces of cheese and tomato on the side as a garnish. The calamari were excellent, very well-cooked and tasty. As we were waiting, a few servers came over to top off our water glasses which we thought was impressive. They continued to do this the entire night. Our second plate, the lamb, arrived about ten minutes after the calamari. The lamb was very tasty; it was quite moist and it fell off the bone and into our mouth with ease. We were very impressed with the flavour of the lamb. After about ten minutes, the shrimp risotto arrived. I have had and made many risotto dishes and I have to say that out of all of the dishes that evening that we tried, this was the worst one. It was very salty (most likely a result of too much cheese) and the rice wasn’t cooked properly. The shrimp were excellent however, the rice wasn’t up to par. We weren’t very impressed with this dish. Our last dish, the chicken, came out about twenty minutes after we finished our risotto dish. The chicken dish was quite good, with a taste of curry powder. It was a little bit small however, with the potatoes added, it was more than enough. In total, our bill came out to $103 which was reasonable considering the elegance of the restaurant, the top-notch service, and the well-made food. We would have had our wedding at this location however, the dates didn’t fit according to our schedule. If you are planning on having a function here, I would highly suggest you do as everything was beyond our expectations! Well-done!

Highly recommended!. I have dined at this restaurant twice: dinner and Mother’s Day brunch. The food was delicious on both occasions. We had selections from the special menu commemorating the Titanic for our dinner and the brunch was an opulent buffet. The service is just how it should be; friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is both grand and welcoming. Feels like getting away from it all. Easy for us to get to since it is our neighborhood, but also for our guests who came on the GO train to Port Credit station and walked over.
Never Fails to impress me.. Beautiful presentations. Tasty appetizers. Great mains and sinful deserts. Fine wines and suggested pairings.25 May, 2010Hidden Gem!. I love the food in this place.
