Was looking forward to a good Greek meal but that wasn’t the case. It was far from good, we were very disappointed. We both had the chicken souvlaki. The chicken was cold and rubbery. Felt like we were served last nights left overs. Potatoes were over cooked and rice wasn’t anything special. Needless to say we will not be returning.
2017/06/24It was dinner time, we were in Mississauga, and Greek food was on the menu this evening. We had passed Colossus many times, today we decided to give it a try, and we’re glad we did. They were moderately busy in the dining room, with about a 20 minute wait for the two of us. However, they could seat us immediately on the patio, so that’s where we went. It was a very pleasant evening; not too hot, not too cold. We started out by sharing some Spanakotiropita (spinach pies with feta). Light, flakey phyllo surrounded the almost creamy spinach and cheese filling. Each bite was crispy, cheesy, savoury and salty. The Tzatziki added a cool dimension to each bite. SWMBO chose the Chicken Souvlaki. A good dish all around. She even commented about the roasted potatoes, which is not one of her favourite sides, that they were pretty good too. I had the Moussaka, with a side of Greek Salad. The salad had just the right amount of dressing. The dressing was light, and did not overpower the salad. The Moussaka was one of the best that I have ever had. Usually a Greek restaurant serves it as a square that has been cut from a large tray or casserole dish. This is the first time I have had it served in an individual crock. The bchamel was still bubbling when it was served. The dish was so hot, that it took me longer to eat it than I expected. The bchamel was smooth and creamy, and the top had a touch of caramelization to give it some texture. The ground beef was nicely seasoned, and had an almost nutty texture. Service was very good. They use the team approach, so you can ask any of the staff passing buy for whatever you need.

We were a huge party and they got every single order on point. I highly recommend the appetizer plate with all the dips on it. Even though the dip portions are fairly small, everything else on the plate makes up for it ! I would definitely return. Love that their menu has gluten free and vegetarian options it’s amazing and very modern. This place is a huge hit and one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve ever eaten at in Mississauga 🙂
As a huge fan of greek cuisine this place is really worth checking out. The restaurant itself is quaint, authentic and intimate. It fills up very quickly during peak hours. It’s not the best greek foodI’ve had but it is pretty good with reasonable prices. Chicken souvlaki dinner is usually my go to. Cute patio in the summer as well.
