PROBABLY WON’T RETURN — LOOONG WAIT TIME + QUESTIONABLE HYGIENE. Went in on a hot Sunday afternoon (Aug. 10) with my sister to get some food to go. I ordered Greek salad; she went with the side order of potatoes. My salad was great — very tasty and good portion size. The potatoes were just so-so in terms of taste and ridiculously large for a side order. What turned us off were the following: 1) We had to wait about 15 – 20 mins. for what we considered to be a fairly simple, straightforward order. It seemed the two folks working that day could only handle two orders at a time and, when we got there, they already had 4 orders ahead of ours. I wish we had known this prior to ordering because we probably would have opted to go somewhere else. 2) The floors were disgustingly sticky, to the point where I was standing in one spot so long (waiting) that when I shifted my foot, my shoe actually came off because it was stuck to the floor. Now, I don’t consider myself a neat freak or anything, but if you’re running an eatery, make sure you take extra care to keep your place clean. Sticky floors make me wonder what other surfaces haven’t been properly cleaned, especially on a hot day…
Quality and quantity is lowered price is higher!. I will treat myself occasionally to what I have experienced to be a wonderful chicken souvlaki on a pita. Unfortunately the amount of tzatziki used now is much less than before. When I requested a little extra I was automatically charged an extra .50 cents without being informed. I was told that they always charge for this. The employees there are obviously not trained very well in customer service either. I should have been informed while placing the order. I was briefly discussing the issue with one of the staff members when the same girl who originally served me rudely interrupted without so much as an excuse me, to which I realized I was wasting my time to voice my concerns at all. I will most probably continue to bring my own lunch since clearly the quality and quantity has changed at Souvlaki Port Credit. Rude employees and greed can destroy a business. The owner was not even there. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know. The staff maturity level is disturbing to me, now I question other things that might be going on,not going back to find out. Disappointed!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING …. 5*****. We stumbled upon Souvlaki Port Credit one day while visiting the Port Credit area. I have to say I’m so happy we did, this place is AWESOME!! It’s privately owned as opposed to the other guys down the street that are a franchise and have everything delivered; these guys and gals at Souvlaki Port Credit make everything IN HOUSE, fresh daily!!! You can’t compete with that!!!We had the New Zeland baby lamb Souvlaki Dinner and it was delicious. The lamb is one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of eating in all of my 52 years. My wife had the seafood medley dinner…WOW, fresh calimari, shrimp, and a big chunk of Atlantic Salmon filet grilled to perfection, so juicy and for a reasonable price. The athomsphere of the restaurant is also very nice, with super friendly and helpful staff and beautiful Greek music to compliment your dinner. We will be coming back here for sure and with our friends and family, everyone needs to eat here and experience excellent quality Greek food.**DON’T FORGET TO GT DESSERT…UMMMM**
Horrible. The food is good …. Horrible. The food is good when it is prepared right, but unfortunately that is only half the time. Friendly service is also inconsistent, as well as the hours the restaurant is open. Who runs a business like that? My family has been customers for years up until recently, but we will not return. You are better off going to Souvlaki Hut!!
Nothing special. It was plain Greek food, will not be returning
The food was wonderful , we ordered Gyros, pork and Lamb Souvlaki dinner , they were excellent but the only drawback is the lamb portion which is not enough, the service was excellent and one more thing , I liked the complimentary pita honey stick , I highly recommend this restaurant 😉
Love the food! Service is always awesome! Greek salad is to die for!!! Im so happy a good Greek place is in port credit!
